  • Publication number: 20150289841
Abstract: A portable ultrasound machine, configured to be removably coupled to a supporting structure, includes a main body and a monitor connected to the main body by a joint. The main body has an upper surface with a control user interface, a lower surface resting in a housing seat of the supporting structure, and one or more side walls connecting the upper surface to the lower surface. The monitor has a front emitting side and a rear casing side. A communication interface between the machine and the supporting structure includes the joint, articulated such that the monitor is alternately movable in a first position parallel to the upper surface, with the front emitting side facing towards the upper surface, a second position substantially vertical above the upper surface, and a third position parallel to the lower surface, with the front emitting side facing towards the lower surface.

  • Patent number: 8118747
Abstract: An ergonomic housing for electroacoustic transducers, particularly for ultrasound imaging, includes at least an inner space (4) housing, one or more electroacoustic transducers (5) and possible further electric and/or electronic components (6/7). The housing (1) has at least an acoustic window (2) at which the one or more electroacoustic transducers (5) are placed. Further included is a handle part (101) composed of an opposing gripping surface having a shape that is ergonomically fitted for being gripped by a hand or a portion thereof. The gripping surface has such a shape or profile (301) to be ergonomically fitted for being gripped by inserting it in the hollow between two adjacent fingers of the hand.

  • Patent number: 7959573
Abstract: A needle-guide device, particularly for ultrasound probes, or the like, comprising a base body constructed and arranged for connection to the probe and at least one elongated guide hole for receiving a needle-like surgical tool, characterized in that said needle-guide device is made of at least two removably connectable parts, which are shaped in such a manner that each of them forms complementary parts of the peripheral delimiting wall of the elongated guide hole for the surgical tool, which peripheral wall parts complete each other when said two parts of the needle-guide device are connected, thereby forming an elongated guide hole for guiding the needle with a 360° covering delimiting wall.

  • Patent number: 5792059
Abstract: An intraoperative probe, specifically intended for direct-contact observations, includes a head for housing the transducers (T) and a portion of a handle or grip, as well as a cable for connecting the transducers (T) to processing and/or displaying devices. According to the invention, said portion of the handle or grip is separate from the transducer-carrying head, as said two parts are equipped with matching means of removable attachment. The invention also provides for a set of accessories that can be attached, individually or in various combinations, to said transducer-carrying head.
