  • Patent number: 11160649
Abstract: A flexible integral intracorneal ring for the treatment and correction of vision disorders and corneal malformations, which is annular, continuous or integral and flexible, all of which allows to inject the ring into the stroma thanks to its outstanding flexibility due to its structural design and also allows to increase your rigidity when inserted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 26, 2019
Date of Patent: November 2, 2021
    Inventor: Roberto Gustavo Albertazzi
  • Patent number: 11090150
Abstract: An injector of intracorneal segments has a disposable segment holding head comprising a lancet (36) formed with a housing closed by the lid (37) wherein a sterilized corneal segment (11) is housed, behind which there is a needle (26) longitudinally slidable under the action of a trigger (31) and a spring (32). The head also has a manual selector (38) to deflect the needle to place the segment at 90° of the head to the right or left of a channel made in the cornea for injection. The segment pre-installed in the head is provided with recesses formed by knurling (16) on its outer chord (14) where it couples to the needle for the push.

  • Patent number: 9931199
Abstract: A method of treating keratoconus in an eye of a patient includes measuring a surface of a cornea of the eye to acquire eye topography data. The method includes, based on the eye topography data, selecting a topographic pattern from topographic patterns displayed in a graphical user interface. The method includes entering vision corrective parameters for the eye of the patient into the graphical user interface. The method includes actuating a processing module to obtain a surgical plan based on the selected topographic pattern and the entered vision corrective parameters. The method includes reviewing intrastromal corneal ring segment (ICRS) implantation surgery parameters specified by the surgical plan and displayed in the user interface. The ICRS implantation surgery parameters include specification of at least one ICRS. The method includes performing implantation surgery of the at least one ICRS into the eye of the patient according to the surgical plan.
