  • Patent number: 11408785
Abstract: A force sensor, flexible sensing element, and method for the force sensor are disclosed. The force sensor uses a flexible sense element with two flexible arms dedicated to measuring strain related to a pitch force and two flexible arms dedicated to measuring strain related to roll force. The use of two channels for each measurement provides a command lane and a monitor lane for strain measurements. Strain gauges are disposed on both the top and the bottom surfaces of each arm, thus providing two completely redundant systems. When a failure is detected in one of the systems, the redundant system can be implemented.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 10, 2020
Date of Patent: August 9, 2022
    Assignee: Sensata Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Michael A. Shramko, Shihong Huo, Sam Black, Roberto L. Rivera, Jianzhuan Lin, Eric A. Wolf, Mark Taddonio

  • Publication number: 20020034514
Abstract: A microsphere containing an immunogen bound to an inert particle having a mesh size of greater than about 35 mesh for site-specific release and induction of an immune response. The immune response may be an overall enhanced T lymphocyte immune response or a selective response. The physical and chemical characteristics and/or modes of administration of the microsphere may be engineered to increase TH1 lymphocytes for treatment of cancer or infectious disease. The microencapsulated immunogen has an enteric coating for oral administration.
