    Abstract: An arrangement for mounting the motor in a clothes washing machine for the purpose of reducing the noise produced by the machine during operation thereof. The electric motor (10) is fixed to the tub of the machine on brackets (12) provided with seats (13) for accommodating the shaft (16). Shock absorbing means (14-15) are provided within the seats (13), as well as an elastic element (17) for connecting the motor (10) to at least one of the brackets (12).
