Abstract: A solution for installing software applications on a mobile computing device is proposed. A corresponding method comprises monitoring a position of the mobile computing device, selecting one or more software applications available to be installed on the mobile computing device according to the position of the mobile computing device, and installing the selected software applications in a container of the mobile computing device providing an execution environment for the selected software applications with controlled access to one or more resources of the mobile computing device.

Abstract: A method of enhancing a visual image of a display is described. The visual image is displayed on a first display of a display device having a first display pixel density and a first display dimension. The display device detects an enhancer device oriented in an operable position to the display device. The enhancer display device has a second display having a second display pixel density higher than the first display pixel density and a second display dimension less than the first display dimension. A spatial orientation is determined between the first display of the display device with the second display of the enhancer display device. The display device sends the visual image and the spatial orientation to the enhancer display device to display a portion of the visual image that is defined by the spatial orientation on the second display in the second display pixel density.

An inbound message directed to the selected communication channel of the target address is redirected to the corresponding static software application on the selected communication channel of the source address.

Abstract: A method and system to facilitate manipulation of the pointer on a screen displaying application windows when the applications use logical barriers to block the movement of the pointer in a window area. The GUI computes new pointer coordinates on the screen of an application window. In the case where the pointing device movement requires a crossing of a logical barrier implemented by the application, if the pointing device is in ‘flying mode’ the GUI of the invention authorizes the pointer to directly cross the barrier. If the pointing device is in ‘crawling mode’ the GUI does not authorize the barrier to be crossed and the pointer is blocked by the barrier.

Abstract: Provided are techniques for processing a subset of a plurality of video frames to produce a 3D model of a particular element within each frame of the subset; processing the plurality of video frames to identify a particular feature within the particular element in each frame of the plurality of frames in which the particular feature appears to produce a plurality of instances of the element, each instance of the plurality of instances associated with a corresponding frame of the plurality of frames; modifying each instance of the plurality of instances in accordance with use parameters and in conformity with the 3D model to generate a plurality of modified instances; and replacing each instance of the plurality of instances with a corresponding modified instance in the corresponding frame of the plurality of frames to produce a modified video file.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention provide a keyboard apparatus that may include an array of keys including a modifier key associated with one or more modifiable keys. Each modifiable key may include a main label and a secondary label. The secondary label may represent a function accessible by activating the modifiable key in combination with the modifier key. Further, the secondary label may include a light-reactive material visible only upon irradiation with light having a certain predefined wavelength. A light-emitting device may direct light having the predefined wavelength towards the array. A control element, however, may activate the light-emitting device only upon activation of the modifier key. In this manner, the light-emitting device may selectively illuminate the secondary label to assist a user in identifying and accessing the same.
