  • Patent number: 6712788
Abstract: An automatic safety syringe comprising a syringe body, hollow on the side and open at the front and rear; and a plunger sliding inside the syringe body with an injection stroke extending from a retracted syringe-filling position to a forward syringe-emptying position, the plunger being provided at the rear with a shaft that can be operated manually and brought out of the syring body through the rear end thereof. An injection needle integral with a needle carrier is egageable with the fore end of the syringe body. A hooking device is connected to the shaft of the plunger, to hook the needle carrier when the shaft is at the end of the injection stroke. An automatic device causes automatic retraction of the shaft of the plunger when the injection has been completed. a locking device is operatively connected to the shaft to block forward movement thereof when it is in the retracted position after intervention of the automatic device.

  • Patent number: 6419658
Abstract: A needle-covering sleeve (14), slidably fitted on the syringe barrel (1), is held in its retracted rest position by means of retaining tongues (10), which hook it at its rear rim (13). At the end of the injection stroke of the plunger (2), a rear flange (8) of the stem (3) of the plunger (2) radially opens the retaining tongues (10) apart, which release thereby the needle-covering sleeve (14). Then, the latter is axially advanced by means of a spring (16), to an advanced safety position, in which it entirely covers the needle (5) and is fastened to a sleeve-clamping ring (18), which is provided at the fore end of the syringe barrel (1). To this purpose, the sleeve-clamping ring (18) has peripheral elastic retaining tongues (19) which interact with matching retaining teeth (20) on the inner part of needle-covering sleeve (14) and prevent any axial backward movement of the needle-covering sleeve (14).

  • Patent number: 6195256
Abstract: An external heat sink is soldered to an internal heat sink incorporated into the bottom of a molded body of encapsulating resin for a package of an integrated power device. The power device is for surface mounting on a printed circuit board. The internal heat sink has at least a portion protruding from an outer surface of at least one face of the molded body. An external heat sink is mounted on the printed circuit board. The external heat sink has at least a surface abutting with a surface of the body, thus defining a separation gap between at least a surface of the protruding portion of the internal heat sink and an opposing surface of the external heat sink. This separation gap is filled with molten solder alloy during a normal soldering treatment of the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5953593
Abstract: A method for forming a plastic package for a power semiconductor electronic device to be encapsulated within a plastic case and to be coupled thermally to a heat sink element having a major surface exposed and at least one peripheral portion extending outwards from at least one side of the plastic case. The method forms the plastic case of the package by molding inside a main cavity of a mold after positioning a heat sink element in a suitable housing provided in a lower portion of the mold which opens into the main cavity of the mold. The method forms the heat sink element such that at least side surfaces jutting out of said side of the plastic case are, at least in a zone adjacent to that side and in the peripheral portion, inclined to form an angle .alpha. substantially greater than zero with a normal line to the major surface, so as to have a negative slope from outside.
