    Abstract: An engine is equipped with a gas feeding system, including main gas injectors each associated with an intake duct of a respective engine cylinder, a gas distribution manifold communicating with said main injectors, a gas tank, connected to the manifold, where pressurized gas is accumulated, a controlled pressure valve interposed between the tank and manifold, and a control unit for controlling the pressure valve to establish a gas pressure in the manifold. A spark plug of each cylinder is mounted within a support body that defines a combustion pre-chamber and a channel for auxiliary gas injection within the pre-chamber, communicating with a respective auxiliary gas injector. The auxiliary gas injectors are in communication with the manifold, downstream of the pressure valve. In the channel, a non-return valve and a restricted passage are provided in series, providing for passage of gas flow proportional to a volume of the pre-chamber.

The turbine includes a jacket, provided at least in part in a body thereof, arranged for the passage of a cooling fluid and in hydraulic communication with an inlet channel and an outlet channel hydraulically connected to a cooling circuit of the motor unit of said internal combustion engine. The inlet channel, outlet channel and lubrication channel are integrated in said turbocharger assembly in correspondence of a connection interface between said turbocharger assembly and the motor unit.

A masking wall which masks the curtain area of the intake valves on one side facing towards the exhaust valves is provided in the combustion chamber associated to each cylinder. The axis of each intake valve is inclined with respect to the axis of the respective engine cylinder by an angle not exceeding 12° and the abovementioned masking wall has along the seat of each intake valve a height h in the direction parallel to the axis of the intake valve which is comprised between 0.1 and 0.5 times, extremes excluded, the maximum value H of the lift of the intake valves.

Between the actuating piston and the stem of the respective valve is interposed an auxiliary hydraulic tappet positioned outside the guide bushing of the actuating piston, so that said bushing can be dimensioned with a relatively small diameter, regardless of the outer diameter of the auxiliary hydraulic tappet. The intake valves of a same cylinder are actuated by a single cam, by means of a single pumping piston and by means of a single pressure chamber controlled by a single solenoid valve.
