  • Publication number: 20200368877
Abstract: A sharpener for sharpening a cutting edge of a cutting tool includes: a housing having an elongated vertically extending slot therein, and an anchor region; and a spring biased sharpening element having a pair of arms, the sharpening element being arranged within the housing and secured to the housing at the anchor region below the vertically extending slot to provide a pivot point for the arms. The sharpening element has: a coil spring portion, arranged at the pivot point, and the pair of arms integrally formed with the coil spring portion, each arm having first and second elongated sharpening portions, respectively, extending from respective ends of the coil spring portion, the coil spring portion and the first and second elongated sharpening portions being spring biased in relation to one another to maintain a crossed relation within housing during a passing through of a cutting edge for sharpening.

  • Patent number: 10313885
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for managing profiles for use with touch systems. A user logs into a communal device using a pointer paired with a mobile device. The communal device is authenticated and retrieves the user's profile. The user profile is used to setup a workspace on the communal device. The workspace is granted access to the user's content on a content server. When the communal device has multiple users, each workspace may be shared or not depending on the user's requirements. Each pointer is individually identified to a particular user and workspace.

  • Patent number: 9600101
Abstract: An interactive board comprises an interactive surface; at least one user selectable element; and processing structure in communication with at least one imaging device and configured to process data received from said at least one imaging device to locate at least one pointer positioned in proximity with said interactive surface and update digital ink according to pointer location, said processing structure being further configured to send said digital ink to one or more devices in communication with the interactive board in response to selection of said at least one user selectable element.

  • Publication number: 20160337416
Abstract: The invention relates generally to improving content input between interactive input systems in a collaborative session. A mobile device having a processing structure; a transceiver communicating with a network using a communication protocol; and a computer-readable medium having instructions configures the processing structure to: receive a content object from an interactive device; perform recognition on the content object; determine a command code from the recognized content object; and modify another content object based at least in part on the command code.

  • Patent number: 8487910
Abstract: A touch system comprises a large scale touch surface on which an image is presented and at least two imaging devices looking across the touch surface and having overlapping fields of view. Processing structure communicates with the imaging devices and processes image data acquired by the imaging devices to determine pointer contacts on the touch surface using triangulation. The processing structure further executes at least one application to facilitate user interaction with the touch surface. Methods of interacting with the touch surface are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070236454
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a pointer within a region of interest includes a first reflective element extending along a first side of the region of interest and reflecting light towards the region of interest. A second reflective element extends along a second side of the region of interest and reflects light towards the region of interest. The second side is joined to the first side to define a first corner. A non-reflective region generally in the plane of at least one of the first and second reflective elements is adjacent the first corner. At least one imaging device captures images of the region of interest including reflections from the first and second reflective elements.

  • Publication number: 20050243070
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a pointer includes a waveguide and a touch surface over the waveguide on which pointer contacts are to be made. At least one reflecting device extends along a first side of the waveguide and touch surface. The reflecting device defines an optical path between the interior of the waveguide and the region of interest above the touch surface. At least one imaging device looks across the touch surface and into the waveguide. The imaging device captures images of the region of interest and within the waveguide including reflections from the reflecting device.
