Abstract: One embodiment of the invention provides a method for interacting with a user over a network. The method includes receiving a request from a user machine for a content page at a publisher web-site. The user machine is provided with an interstitial page including one or more fields for collecting information about the user and two or more user response options for selection by the user, including at least a positive response and a negative response. The selected user response to the interstitial page is received and recorded, along with any information collected about the user. The recorded information may be used in a future determination of an interstitial page to provide to the user machine.
