Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for an automated car sharing system. An authorized user makes a reservation to use a vehicle at a certain location, specifying the date and time for the pick-up and drop-off. At the appointed time, the user accesses the vehicle and presents identification to automatically gain access to the car. The system maintains all necessary information such as mileage, length of use, distance, and other such information, and when the user returns the car, automatically generates a bill.
