  • Publication number: 20240068687
Abstract: A parking garage having a ventilation control system for ambient gases utilizes software to intelligently modulate the rate of speed of a plurality of garage fan motors in the enclosed parking garage structure. Savings are driven by the known relationships between fan power draw and fan speed, whereby fans operate at lower speeds will draw much less power than when operating at high power, taking advantage of the highly non-linear relationship between the two.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 31, 2023
    Publication date: February 29, 2024
Inventors: Francis J. NAGLE, Jr., Ronald A. LEA, Robin D. SHAFFER
  • Patent number: 11512862
Abstract: A software implementation and method for garage ventilation control logic to intelligently modulate the rate of speed of a plurality of garage fan motors in an enclosed commercial parking garage structure. The savings are primarily driven by the known cubic relationship between fan power draw and fan speed, whereby fans operating at lower speeds will draw much less power than operating at higher speeds, taking advantage of the highly non-linear relationship between the two.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 20, 2018
Date of Patent: November 29, 2022
    Assignee: NAGLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS, LLC
Inventors: Francis J Nagle, Jr., Ronald A Lea, Robin D Shaffer
