A method is disclosed for producing a flat steel product, and to the use of carbon particles in an absorption layer on a flat steel product coated with an aluminum-based anticorrosion coating in order to reduce the reflectivity in the infrared region. A method is disclosed for producing a steel component from a flat steel product.
