  • Patent number: 8139671
Abstract: The invention discloses an arrangement and an associated method for contactless transmission of electrical signals between two units 1, 2, wherein a first unit 1 has a transmitting element 11 emitting electrical signals and at least one conductor 13 connected thereto, and wherein a second unit 2 has a receiving element 29 and a coupling element 31 connected thereto. The coupling element 31 is formed by means of a resistance material and decouples an electrical signal carried in the conductor 13.

  • Publication number: 20090289868
Abstract: A ground plane for an antenna comprises first and second planar conductors (102, 103) arranged substantially perpendicular to a central axis of the antenna joined together and spaced from one another by a third conductor (104) arranged substantially concentric with and parallel to the central axis. An edge of the first planar conductor (102) is radially outward of an edge of the second planar conductor (103), and the second planar conductor extends radially outwardly from the third conductor (104) a distance of substantially one sixth of a wavelength of an operating frequency of the antenna.

  • Patent number: 6917323
Abstract: An analog to digital converter (ADC) includes a comparator, NĂ—1-bit clocked shift register and a clock which is phase-locked to the input signal. The system according to the invention includes such an ADC, together with processing means. The ADC samples an input waveform and the processing means determines a correction waveform, converts the correction waveform to an analog signal, combines the correction waveform with the input waveform to control its envelope and outputs a combined waveform. The combined waveform is substantially flat.

  • Publication number: 20040108948
Abstract: An analogue to digital converter (ADC) (5) comprises a comparator (14); an N×1-bit clocked shift register; and a clock, phase-locked to the input signal. Such an ADC is suitable for use in a system for controlling the envelope of a periodic waveform. The system comprises an ADC according to the invention and processing means, whereby the ADC samples an input waveform and the processing means determines a correction waveform, converts the correction waveform to an analogue signal, combines the correction waveform with the input waveform to control its envelope and outputs a combined waveform, wherein the combined waveform is substantially flat.
