Abstract: An authentication arrangement for a motor vehicle includes an immobilize transponder, a first reception device, a control device and, optionally, a transmission and reception device. The immobilize transponder is switchable at least between an active operating state, which causes deactivation of the engine immobilizer, and an inactive operating state. The control device is designed to respond to a prescribed control signal captured by the first reception device by outputting a switching signal for switching the operating state of the immobilize transponder to the active operating state. An authentication system and a use of the authentication system are also disclosed.
