Patent number: 10021860Abstract: A kit for an aquarium aquaponic assembly is disclosed. The kit comprises generally an aquarium module, a garden module, a reservoir module, drain conduits fluidly connecting the modules and a pump. The reservoir module has a top opening adapted to receive and maintained both the aquarium module and at least one garden module. Each garden module supports terrestrial plants and is located directly adjacent to one side of the aquarium module and located below a predetermined operating water level of the aquarium module. The aquarium module comprises a transparent tank adapted to be partially supported by the reservoir module. The system is designed such that the waste water from the aquarium module flows to the garden module for irrigating and feeding the plants. The waste water flowing from the garden module is filtered and directed to the reservoir module then pumped back to the aquarium module.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2016Date of Patent: July 17, 2018Inventor: Robin Plante

Publication number: 20140041594Abstract: An aquaponic system generally comprises an aquarium module, a garden module and a reservoir module. The aquarium module is generally configured to be installed on a supporting structure (e.g. a cabinet). The garden module is generally configured to be installed on the supporting structure near the aquarium module, in front, beside or even all around it. The garden module is generally configured to support terrestrial and/or semi-aquatic plants. The reservoir module is typically installed inside the supporting structure with the utilities (e.g. pumps). The system is generally designed such that the waste water from the aquarium module flows to the garden module where it irrigates the plants and where it is at least partially filtered by plants which consume at least some of the waste products contained in the water.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2013Publication date: February 13, 2014Inventor: Robin Plante

Patent number: 7806087Abstract: A cat track composed of several track sections when attached end-to-end in other than an endless loop has end caps to retain a ball that rolls freely in the track. Assembled, the sections may be used together with a cat scratcher and/or a cat spa or other animal toy to increase the animal's interest. The sections may be made in different shapes but are capable of being connected end-to-end to define a variety of patterns, either as an endless or open (non-continuous) track.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2010Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: Rolf C. Hagen, Inc.Inventor: Robin Plante

Patent number: 7665420Abstract: A bird cage having a wire grille upper portion and a base assembly. A portion of the base assembly may be made of a light impervious material such as a transparent or translucent material. A plurality of connectors may be used to secure the wire grille panels together. In one embodiment, the footprint of the base assembly is larger than the footprint of the wire grille upper portion of the cage. One or more feeding stations may be provided inside of the cage with a door located on the cage to access the feeding stations. The feeding stations may be arranged in a locked position such that a bird inside the cage cannot tip over or spill the contents of a feeding station.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2006Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignee: Rolf C. Patent number: 7089881Abstract: A pet drinking fountain includes a base having a well housing a water filter and pump. A water tank is mounted on the base, and a drinking dish is disposed beside the tank. The dish communicates with the well in the base allowing water to flow from the it to the well. A duct extends from the pump upward through the tank and discharges water onto the outer surface of the tank from which the water flows into the bowl. The pet can drink from the dish or lap water flowing down the tank surface. When the level of water in the well falls below a prescribed level, water from the tank is discharged into the well. A food dish may also be added to the structure.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2004Date of Patent: August 15, 2006Assignee: Rolf C. Hagen, Inc.Inventor: Robin Plante
