  • Publication number: 20230294637
Abstract: A method performed by a control device includes determining that a portable key device is located in a given reception zone around at least two motor vehicles; determining a physical position of the portable key device in relation to at least one of the motor vehicles; ascertaining, based on the physical position of the portable key device, one of the at least two motor vehicles at which a predetermined reference of the portable key device is pointing; providing a control signal that operates a locking device of the one of the at least two motor vehicles, where the control signal causes at least partial unlocking or at least partial locking of the one of the at least two motor vehicles; and transmitting the control signal to the locking device of the one of the at least two motor vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20230104722
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for checking a transport journey of a user via an electronics management system. A user books the transport journey at a starting point via an electronic management system, and the transport journey being carried out from the starting point to a destination to be reached. A planned completion of a first route portion of the transport journey is carried out using the autonomously driving vehicle, where a completion of a second route portion of the transport journey is planned and carried out using an alternative means of transportation to the autonomously driving vehicle. The electronic management system checks whether the completion of the second route portion can be carried out using the alternative means of transportation at the transfer point, and if not, the transport journey is continued toward the destination by means of the autonomously driving vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220024341
Abstract: A warning system for warning pedestrians and other road users prior to a collision with a charging cable for an electric automobile. Charging cables run from a power source to a vehicle. The vehicle is charged using a charging cable. The vehicle being charged has the information that it is currently charging. It also has sensors that can identify the course of the cable, depending on the resolution and orientation of the sensors. This can be implemented using image processing algorithms or machine learning. The parked vehicle can also detect other road users by means of the onboard sensor system. If an impending collision between the road user and the charging cable is determined from these data, the road user is warned, using any of acoustic warning, or visual warning.

  • Patent number: 7896943
Abstract: A preformed insulation mat is provided for use between the inner and outer end cone housing of a pollution control device. The preformed insulation includes a frustum-shaped mat. The mat is formed of primarily heat moldable, silica based glass fibers containing Al2O3 and is molded at a selected temperature and for a selected time duration to heat set the fibers, whereby the frustum-shaped mat is seamless and self-supporting, requiring no shape no shape retaining elements or chemical binders.
