Patent number: 11920371Abstract: A rose assembly for a lockset configured to conceal and protect at least portions of a chassis that are positioned in a through-hole of an entryway device. The rose assembly can include at least a rose base and a rose plate. The rose plate can be assembled to the rose base at one of a plurality of orientations so that the rose assembly has an asymmetrical configuration. The rose assembly can include an indexing system to control the orientations at which the rose plate can be selectively secured to the rose base. The indexing system can include first and second male members and a plurality of female members, the first male member being sized to be matingly received in some, but not all, of the plurality of female members. The rose plate can be secured to the rose base by plate fasteners, magnets and/or double-sided tape.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2021Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Schlage Lock Company LLCInventor: Rockwood T. Publication number: 20210398373Abstract: A user interface display system associated with an electronic key that provides feedback to a user engaging the electronic lock, including a user interface display to depict to the user feedback patterns with each feedback pattern displayed to the user providing the feedback to the user as the user engages the electronic lock with the electronic key. Each displayed feedback pattern provides a corresponding color that is associated with the feedback provided to the user as the user engages the electronic lock with the electronic key. A controller transitions the electrochromic filter to each color to correspond with the feedback pattern that is displayed by the user interface display so that the transitioned color and the displayed feedback pattern is in response to the user engaging the electronic lock with the electronic key.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2021Publication date: December 23, 2021Inventors: Chris R. Patent number: 10221589Abstract: A rose assembly for a door lock in which the rose assembly places the door lock in one of a locked state and an unlocked state. The rose assembly includes a rose moveable with respect to the door. The rose includes a first position, in which the door lock is locked, and a second position, in which the door lock is unlocked. The rose assembly includes a frame which surrounds the rose and in which the rose nests. Pivotal movement of the rose within the frame moves the door lock from the locked state to the unlocked state. The rose pivots at a door lever, and a pivot axis is offset from a centerline of the rose. A larger portion of the rose, defined by the pivot axis, unlocks the door when pressed and a smaller portion of the rose locks the door when pressed.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2017Date of Patent: March 5, 2019Assignee: Schlage Lock Company LLCInventors: Rockwood T. Roberts, III, Chris Pembridge, Kun-Yen Tsai, Michael Grady, Xiny Fan, Caleb Jones
