  • Publication number: 20230140025
Abstract: The present disclosure provides expression vectors and bacterial sequence-free vectors, such as ministring DNA (msDNA), for producing virus-like particles (VLPs) as well as compositions and methods thereof. In some aspects, the methods include treating viral infections in subjects with the vectors, compositions, and VLPs.

  • Publication number: 20210100858
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a targeted tumour-infiltrating bacteriophage. The bacteriophage is engineered to present an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-binding moiety on the bacteriophage cell surface. The EGFR-binding moiety is capable of binding the extracellular domain of the EGFR. Also disclosed are compositions, kits, methods and uses thereof. Also disclosed is a method of treating a tumour in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising: administering to the subject a composition comprising a plurality of bacteriophage engineered to present an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-binding moiety on the bacteriophage cell surface in a dose effective to treat the tumour, wherein the tumour is an EGFR-positive tumour and the EGFR-binding moiety is capable of binding an EGFR extracellular domain.

  • Patent number: 9862954
Abstract: A vector production system is provided. The system comprises recombinant cells designed to encode at least a first recombinase under the control of an inducible promoter and the cells include an expression vector encoding a nucleic acid of interest within the regulatory elements of the expression vector which are flanked on either side by a target sequence for at least the first recombinase. The vector production system provides an efficient one-step process for producing linear or circular covalently closed vectors that incorporate a nucleic acid sequence of interest.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20150031583
Abstract: A phage display system is provided comprising a mutant phage-infected host cell adapted to express a peptide of interest fused to a phage capsid protein, wherein the mutant phage includes a nonsense mutation which prevents expression of the capsid protein as a functional protein, and wherein expression of the peptide of interest is controlled by an inducible repressor and by a suppressor that suppresses the nonsense mutation.
