  • Patent number: 6978179
Abstract: The present invention relates to a streamlined magnetic brain wave stimulation apparatus, which receives electronic signals based upon pre-recorded brain wave patterns. The brain wave patterns actuate electromagnets placed on a user's neck adjacent to the user's brainstem, to create a plurality of magnetic pulses to influence a user's brain centers to influence a desired mental state. Rhythmic electrical brain wave signals are recorded, identified, divided and repeated to create a streamlined brain wave signal to induce a desired mental state. The streamlined patterns are then recorded on a suitable memory means. When the memory means is actuated, the rhythmic electrical signals are sent to electromagnets located in proximity to the back of the user's neck in proximity to the posterior aspect of the user's superior cervical region, in an area that is immediately inferior to the cranial cavity to electromagnetically stimulate the brain stem, to influence a desired mental state.

  • Patent number: 6431873
Abstract: A preprinted food group triangle sheet having indicia representative of a plurality of food groups thereon is sized to be inserted between a first triangular member and a second triangle member. A plurality of apertures extend in complimentary alignment through both the first and second triangular members. The plurality of apertures are positioned in relation to each of the food groups preprinted on a food group triangle sheet. One or more additional apertures may be provided to record the taking of vitamins, minerals or medication. A punch is provided for manual insertion into an aperture selected from a plurality of apertures. A flexible strap may be used to secure the punch to the food group monitoring apparatus. The food triangle sheets may be releasably secured in a pad, or on a page of a book, to provide a lasting record of the quantity and selection of foods consumed according to food groups, over time.

  • Patent number: 4444255
Abstract: A pair of electrodes is floated on the surface of the oil at the base of a oil well. An AC high frequency current is imposed across the gap in the electrodes to develop microfine carbon which serves as a catalyst for the electrolytic decomposition of petroleum by a plurality of elongated, nonspark-generating field electrodes which develop a high energy field at the base of the well, such elongated electrodes also being immersed in the oil at the base of the well. The developed gases, consisting primarily of hydrogen, serve to both repressurize the well and diffuse within the oil bearing strata to laterally displace sufficient oil to adjoining wells for recovery at such adjacent sites. The combination of repressurizing and by means of low molecular weight gases, effects by diffusion, this lateral displacement of petroleum in recoverable amounts to adjacent pumping sites.

  • Patent number: 4440342
Abstract: A heat dispersing thermal barrier, adapted for installation in close proximity to a free-standing heating device, comprising a vertically disposed, heat resistant room confronting wall panel, adapted to be spaced apart from the room wall by extensions to form a plurality of vertically aligned fluid passages between the extensions, the room confronting panel, and the wall confronting side of the thermal barrier. The fluid passages extend from near the ceiling to near the floor, with one end of the fluid passages in fluid communication with a chamber, wherein a blower is adapted to be in fluid communication with the chamber and the room air, and positioned to draw room air from near the ceiling, downwardly through the fluid passages to exhaust the air into the room near the floor. The blower may be thermostatically controlled. The chamber may be adapted to extend to provide thermal protection to the room floor and/or ceiling in proximity to the free-standing heating device.

  • Patent number: 4334839
Abstract: A hand operated twin piston air pump, which pumps air under pressure in both directions, that includes a means to disengage pump handles when pumping pressures increase. Thus, twice the volume of air may be readily pumped while pressures are low, and half the piston area may be readily pumped when pressure increases. This speeds up the pumping cycle time and reduces the strokes required to inflate a given product, while not exceeding the designed pumping effort of the user.

  • Patent number: 4309851
Abstract: The modular construction elements are formed of flexible airtight material of common cross-sectional diameter and varied tubular lengths sealed to provide an inflatable chamber. Each chamber is adapted with an air valve for inflation or deflation. The varied tubular lengths, when deflated, may be rolled or folded for storage or transport, and may be orally or mechanically inflated to provide lightweight, flexible modular construction elements suitable for erection of a variety of structural shapes suitable for a child to enter and play within. Associated modular construction elements may be lashed in place, secured with flexible expanding bands, or with grommets and flexible fasteners. When the structure is erected outdoors, the modular construction elements may be pegged to the ground. Doors, windows and roof sections may be added to complete the structure.

  • Patent number: 4258697
Abstract: The collection, storage and transfer of solar heat by pneumatic means includes: a solar collection system; a heat storage system; and a means for selectively directing air through the solar collector, the heat storage, and the point of use. The solar collection system includes a first chamber of convex, curvilinear shape covered with a light-transmissive material, and positioned to receive sunlight. A series of second chambers is formed beneath the first chamber by light-transmissive material located above and below a series of inclined ducts through which air from the first chamber is directed. Each duct receives air from the upper portion of the preceding secondary chamber and redirects the air into the lower portion of the next succeeding secondary chamber. After passing through the entire series of secondary chambers, the heated air is directed into a third concave, curvilinear-shaped chamber located beneath the series of second chambers.

  • Patent number: 4233132
Abstract: Electrodes are immersed within oil which forms a layer over a quantity of water. When current is passed between the electrodes which are held to a predetermined gap from the interstitial surface between the oil and water, water is caused to undergo electrodecomposition. Gaseous hydrogen is then recovered in the sealed space above the oil-water layers and the oxygen is caused to react with constituents in the oil layer.Consequently, there is produced continuously a quantity of hydrogen which is separately collected and is usable in gaseous form.
