  • Patent number: 5609804
Abstract: Process for decorating ceramic tiles including the following steps: a) the pressing of powders so as to form a pressed item; b) the forming, during the pressing of the item, of recesses that affect the face that is meant to remain in view, these recesses being peripherally surrounded by a rim the extension whereof matches the contour of the decoration to be obtained; c) the application, in these recesses, of preset doses of mixtures and/or enamels of decorative material that have a fluid consistency that allows these mixtures to spread so as to cover the bottom of the recesses; and finally d) the final baking of the item.

  • Patent number: 5160018
Abstract: Device for retaining crown caps having a carousel for the support and transfer of the caps which includes a disk which rotates about a vertical axis and is peripherally provided with a series of angularly equidistant recesses which are open outwardly. A stationary ring is superimposed on each disk and peripherally supports a series of magnets. The edge of each recess has an upper lip which protrudes toward the inside of the recess itself, thereby defining an underlying semicircular seat in which a cap is attracted by the respective magnet.

  • Patent number: 5123824
Abstract: Device for retaining crown caps, which can be particularly applied in machines for forming the sealing gaskets inside caps of the type having carousels which have disks which rotate about vertical axes and which further have in the peripheral region thereof semicircular and angularly equidistant seats for the support and transfer of the caps, has a rocker-like lever mounted on the disks, at each semicircular seat, which oscillates within a radial median plane of the seat. The lever has one arm controlled by an actuation cam and can, with the beak-shaped end of the other arm, internally engage the dentellated edge of the cap, so as to retain it in its seat during a preset angle of rotation of the disks.

  • Patent number: 5007150
Abstract: The invention refers to an apparatus which allows the application of a round gasket or liner inside closures. The apparatus consists of a plastic material batching carousel carrying, on a horizontal plate a plurality of shuttles or molds peripherically distributed and whose top surface is provided with a recess or hollow. On the carousel are elements which take and leave batches of plastic material supplied by an extruder inside the recesses. A first star wheel at the bottom of the carousel is provided to transfer the shuttles having the batches therein towards a forming carousel where the batches of plastic material are pressed to form round gaskets. A second star is provided to transfer the shuttles with the molded gaskets toward a further carousel where gaskets are inserted into cups or closures.

  • Patent number: 4518336
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a carousel carrying a plurality of peripherally distributed cups and slidable supports, respectively aligned with the axes of the cups, pick-up and metering assembly forming a spoon member facing in the direction of rotation of the carousel and adapted to be selectively placed in communication with suction and blowing means. The apparatus further includes an extruder nozzle for the plastic material which is stationary relatively to the carousel and opens at the pick-up and metering assembly so as to allow withdrawal of a metered amount of plastic material by said spoon.

  • Patent number: 4462781
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a conveyor for delivering clay blanks to the press, vertically movable lifter plates, for raising the blanks to a level above the conveyor, pusher members which transfer the blanks from the lifter plates to a platform which delivers the blanks to gripping means, which grip the clay blanks and transfer them into the mold cavities. Positioning means correct the distance between the blanks on the platform to make it coincident with that between the cavities of the mold.

  • Patent number: 4270893
Abstract: Mold for molding hollow bricks by means of a press, comprises at least one punch affixed to the movable crosspiece of the press. A die is provided with at least one cavity for containing the material to be pressed and is engageable by the punch during the pressing step. At least one counterpunch constitutes the bottom of the die cavity and is movable between a position where it rests on the press base and a position where it ejects the molded brick. The die is supported in a yielding manner vertically with respect to the press base. Rod-like elements adapted for forming the holes through the bricks are rigid with the die. The rod-like elements penetrate the counterpunch and the cavity and are further adapted for inserting themselves in respective seats in the punches during the pressing step.
