Abstract: Electronic payment systems and supporting methods and devices are described. For instance, the disclosed subject matter describes aggregated transactional account functionality configured to receive electronic financial transactions associated with one or more of a set of electronic identifying information such as phone ID, email, instant message, etc. for a user and related functionality. The disclosed details enable various refinements and modifications according to system design and tradeoff considerations.

Abstract: Techniques for efficient transfer of funds between parties using personal communication devices are presented. A first user can use a first communication device to transfer funds from an account associated with the first user to a second user via a communication address associated with the second user's second communication device even if the second user is not registered with a financial service provider associated with the account of the first user. The funds can be sent from the first communication device using the Internet, mobile communication systems, or other communication technology via a message, an email, a voice mail, etc., to the second user, wherein notification of the funds can be sent to the second communication device. The first user can send funds using an account with the financial service provider or an affiliated account, and the second user can have the funds deposited into a desired account.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for systems and methods effective to create and use a unified charging system in a networking environment. In an example, a virtual charging card can be created and authenticated, and cash and credit accounts can be associated with the virtual charging card, and billing accounts can also be associated. In another example, a virtual charging card can be initialized when checking out at a shopping portal, and display a list of cash and credit accounts affiliated with the virtual charging card. One or more of the cash and credit accounts can be selected, and payment transferred to the shopping portal via the virtual charging card, masking the identity of the owner of the cash and credit accounts.

Abstract: Disclosed are electronic systems and techniques for implementing lists that include source of origin information for items added to the lists. A portal can include a component that enables items to be added to lists associated with the portal from a variety of sources, such as social networks, other portals, advertisements, search engines, other users, etc. In this regard, the items can be added to a list with references to the portal, instead of the source of origin, and information relating to the source of origin can be maintained to assist users in future prioritizations of items included in the list.

Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and articles of manufacture that facilitate creation, editing, and sharing of video quotes. A video quote can be created based on user input. For example, the video quote can be created based on a time range selected by a user. The video quote can also include comments from the user. In order to create the video quote, the user can be authenticated and/or permissions of the user related to viewing, editing and/or sharing of the video can be verified. If permissions are verified, the user can edit the content of the video quote, for example, by changing the time range and/or including different comments. The video quote can be shared, for example, on a social network and/or via e-mail.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating online product recommendations. A plurality of data objects representative of a plurality of items for user consumption from an online merchant are stored at a computing device. A method then comprises, registering a device associated with a user with the online merchant; and in response to registering the device: associating the device with at least one other device registered with the online merchant associated with an other user in response to selection of the at least one other device by the device, monitoring a first social activity of the at least one other device, wherein the first social activity includes a first activity related to an interaction of the at least one other device with at least one of the plurality of data objects, and collecting and storing first social activity data related to the first social activity of the at least one other device.

Abstract: Disclosed are shared shopping systems and techniques based on social graph information and spanning multiple merchant providers. A device can include a component for implementing a shopping portal and include an access security module. Social graph information for use in connection with any of the embodiments described herein can come from internal sources or external sources. In this regard, the object information respecting items selected by users represented by a given user social graph can be stored in storage. The access security module can be configured to categorize the object information according to a set of predetermined criteria and allow access to the object information by others represented in a social graph for the user that have received authorization to access the object information.
