  • Publication number: 20080105252
Abstract: An outdoor firepit comprises a vessel adapted to contain a combustible material. A plurality of conduits are within the vessel and are positioned to be in thermal communication with the combustible material. An air source forces air through the plurality of conduits and into an area surrounding the firepit. An apparatus for heating an outdoor area comprises a vessel adapted to contain a combustible material having an inner bowl and an outer bowl and a space therebetween. A plurality of conduits are within the vessel adjacent the inner bowl and are positioned to be in thermal communication with the combustible material. • Patent number: 7281469
Abstract: A cooking support frame comprises a wire rack assembly fabricated from wire subassemblies having slots, crimps, and bends configured for supporting food items such as poultry legs and wings, pork ribs, corn, vegetables, bread, and the like above a conventional cooking surface. An open base supports a pair of opposed uprights having handles formed therein. The uprights support a hanger assembly formed with slots and crimps for holding poultry wings and legs in a generally vertical position. The hanger assembly can comprise an arrangement of removable skewers. The hanger assembly also defines a basket for supporting larger cuts of meat, vegetables, bread, and the like. The open base can be formed with an integral rib rack for supporting pork ribs in a generally vertical position. The cooking support frame is configured for nesting of a plurality of support frames together for shipping, handling, and displaying.

  • Patent number: 6725856
Abstract: A portable gas-fired cook stove is provided with readily assembled and disassembled legs, which facilitates shipping and storage of the cook stove. The legs are fastened to the stove body through a simple but very strong connection, which is capable of supporting loads well in excess of the weight of the cooking pot, food items, and cooking liquid. The cook stove can be disassembled and packaged with a nested cooking pot in a reduced-volume carton to reduce the space occupied by the carton during shipping and display.

  • Patent number: 6718966
Abstract: A cooking pot is provided which includes a base portion and a removable cover therefor. An annular lip of the pot is formed with at least one vent opening therein. Airflow between ambient and a cooking chamber defined within the pot is adjustable by rotating the cover relative to the base portion. The cooking pot is also multifunctional in that it is operable in any one of a plurality of cooking modes including but not limited to an open charcoal-grilling mode, a closed charcoal-grilling mode, an externally-heated charcoal-grilling mode, a grilling and smoking mode, a deep-frying mode, a boiling and simmering mode, a steaming mode, and oven modes.

  • Patent number: 6712067
Abstract: A portable cook stove is provided with a cooking pot support having upstanding peripheral tabs at a peripheral portion thereof. When a cooking pot having an effective pot diameter at or less than an effective inner diameter of the tabs is employed, the cooking pot support can be oriented so that the upstanding peripheral tabs are directed upwardly creating a guard against slippage of the cooking pot with respect to the cooking pot support. Conversely, when a cooking pot having an effective pot diameter greater than the effective inner diameter of the tabs is employed, the cooking pot support can be oriented so that the peripheral tabs are directed downwardly and do not create an obstruction to using the larger cooking pot.
