    Abstract: A drop ejection device for use in a handheld inhaler is fabricated with a thin passivation layer and thin or no metal anti-cavitation layers above underlying heat transducers to provide protection for the heat transducers. A control system energizes selected heat transducers to heat fluid in the chambers, vaporizing the fluid, which is ejected through the orifices in small droplets.
