  • Patent number: 7292196
Abstract: Embodiments generally relate to an antenna. The antenna includes at least two slot radiators, where each slot radiator has an input port and a profile that has been defined to optimize the return loss bandwidth of the antenna. The antenna also includes a transmission line and a circuit configured to connect the transmission line and the at least two slot radiators at the respective input ports. The circuit is also configured to match the impedance of the at least two slot radiators and the co-planar waveguide.

  • Patent number: 7016554
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical modulator for modulating an optical carrier by an electrical signal. The modulator comprises a first and a second waveguide for guiding the optical carrier, each waveguide is formed from, or being juxtaposed with respect to, an electro-optic material. The modulator also comprises a series of cavities associated with the first waveguide and the second waveguide and means for applying the electrical signal having a predetermined bandwidth to the cavities. The cavities have a resonant frequency within the predetermined bandwidth. The present invention also provides a device for optical single sideband with carrier (OSSB+C) transmission. The device has parallel-coupled cavities.
