  • Publication number: 20230349493
Abstract: A connector assembly has a connector body for housing a free end of a pipe. A mechanical seal arrangement within the body includes a metal annular seal surface configured for arrangement about the pipe and a metal annular seal element configured for fitting about the pipe. The annular seal element is configured for creating a first annular sealing contact for creating a metal-to-metal seal with a metal outer surface of a pipe and a second annular sealing contact for creating a metal-to-metal seal with the annular seal surface. The connector assembly includes an annular loading ring configured for fitting about the pipe. The annular loading ring is configured to be arranged for communication between the body and the pipe. The annular loading ring includes one or more channels or bores extending from an external surface, for use in the application of energising load to the annular seal element within the body.

  • Patent number: 11585471
Abstract: A seal assembly includes a connector body having an open end configured for receiving a free end of a pipe and an adaptor for securing at the free end of the pipe. The adaptor has a first ring, configured to be mounted around the circumference of the free end of a pipe, and a second ring configured to cooperate with the first ring in order to drive the first ring into engagement with an outer surface of the pipe. A mechanical interlock arrangement is configured for driving the adaptor in the direction of the connector body, when the adaptor is secured at the free end of the pipe. The mechanical interlock arrangement is further configured for preventing or limiting axial movement of the pipe relative to the connector body, when the adaptor is secured to the outer surface of the pipe and when the free end of the pipe is in sealing contact with a metal seal surface of the connector body.

  • Patent number: 11193610
Abstract: A seal assembly has a connector body with a first section and a second section, movable relative to one another. The first section and the second section each has an open end configured for receiving the free end of a pipe. The open end of the first and second sections are each configured for sealing engagement with the free end of a respective pipe. The seal assembly is movable between a first condition, in which the second section assumes a retracted position relative to the first section, and a second condition in which the second section assumes an extended position relative to the first section. A seal member is provided for creating a seal between the first section and the second sections in said first and second conditions. First and second adaptors are provided, each for association with a respective one of said first and second sections of the connector body and configured for securing at the free end of a respective pipe.
