Patent number: 5722699Abstract: The present invention involves a flexible annular member passing through a wall opening. The flexible annular member is positioned about a conduit passing through the wall opening to enable the conduit to pass through the wall at an angle up to and even greater than 30.degree.. Another embodiment of the present invention comprises a flange type riser and base connection involving the location of the entire sealing assembly within a chamber base/riser section.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1996Date of Patent: March 3, 1998Assignee: Environ Products, Inc.Inventor: Rodney E. Brancher

Patent number: 5501472Abstract: A compression seal for conduits that pass through watertight barriers, such as containment sumps for underground gasoline pumping systems, involving two annular seals of compressible material, a first in the barrier aperture and a second on the conduit, connected by a flexible conical section which provides compliance to both axial and angular movement of the conduit. An inner supporting ring of rigid material is used to force and maintain the first seal in compression sealing relationship, irrespective of roundness variations, within the aperture, and a screw tightened band is used to retain the second seal in a compression sealing relationship about the conduit.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1994Date of Patent: March 26, 1996Inventors: Rodney E. Brancher, Anthony C. Paladinetti, Jr.

Patent number: 5423251Abstract: A modular "knock-down" type shelving system having adjustable height shelves includes a plastic support post having a generally right equilateral triangular cross-section. The support post is composed of pultruded thermosetting plastic having unidirectional E Glass fibers extending therethrough and a thermoplastic coating bonded to the outer surface thereof. The inner surface of the interior side of the support post is bowed outwardly. As a result, when a wedge member is disposed on the interior side of the post and the support post and wedge member combination supports by wedge action a sleeve comprising an end beam and a collar, the interior side of the support post is urged outwardly and is supported by the wedge member. The collar is locked to the end beam when a tongue of the collar passes through a slot in the end beam into a rotatable lock in a blind hole in the bottom of the end beam.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1994Date of Patent: June 13, 1995Assignee: Metro Industries, Inc.Inventors: Albert Kolvites, Robert J. Cohn, John H. Welsch, Willard J. Sickles, David T. Balazek, Rodney E. Brancher

Patent number: 4811670Abstract: A shelf support system for a "knock-down" type shelving system having adjustable height shelves includes a support post having a generally right equilateral triangular cross-section. A wedge member is disposed on the interior face of the support post by a snap-on operation, and is located at a predetermined height thereon by detent apparatus cooperating therebetween. A corner bracket is structurally associated with a corner of the shelf to be supported, and is formed with a tapered face for cooperating with the wedge member. A snap-on collar is provided for forming together with the corner bracket a triangular sleeve around the support post, the collar resiliently engaging the corner bracket, such that the sleeve may be seated on the wedge member by wedge action, thus the shelf may be supported on the support post at the predetermined height.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1987Date of Patent: March 14, 1989Assignee: Intermetro Industries CorporationInventors: Albert Kolvites, Rodney E. Patent number: 4630852Abstract: A latching mechanism, for latching and unlatching a panel movable relative to a stationary panel of a container, includes a latch secured to one of the panels, and a structure defining an opening in the other of the panels through which the latch extends when the movable panel is in container-closing position. A latch keeper is positioned by a positioning device in operative position relative to the other of the panels to engage and retain the latch when the movable panel is in container-closing position. A keeper actuating device is operable to shift the latch keeper to latch-releasing position. The positioning device and the keeper cooperate to maintain the keeper in operative position and the keeper is manually shiftable from the operative position for disengagement from the other of the panels.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 1985Date of Patent: December 23, 1986Assignee: InterMetro Industries CorporationInventors: Robert M.
