  • Patent number: 7121135
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining the permeation of a barrier layer on the surface of a container (1), wherein the container is placed inside a pressure-tight closeable vessel (5), is degasified after a conditioning period on the side comprising the barrier layer, the pressure is measured for the duration thereof and measuring data therefrom enables the permeation of the barrier layer to be determined. The permeation of a plurality of containers (1) can be determined for an industrial application in a consecutive manner in a relatively short period of time by using very simple measuring devices. The invention is characterized in that the pressure-tight closeable vessel (5) and the container (1) arranged therein are evacuated, the partial pressures of several substances emitted from the wall of the container are measured and the increase in the pressure-time-curve is determined, representing a direct measurement of the quality of the barrier layer.

  • Publication number: 20050055916
Abstract: A form assembly for use with a rough-in floor drain line, extending from a ground location prior to the pouring of a concrete aggregate. A body is constructed of a plasticized material and exhibits a three-dimensional outline with a height, width and depth and an open interior. The body further includes a bottom-most extending and encircling lip and an upper rim edge. The body is positioned so that the open interior surrounds the exposed floor drain line and a volume of a sand aggregate is filled into the open interior over and around the exposed drain. A lid is secured over the rim edge and a plurality of elongated and ground-securing stakes are engaged through apertures associated with the bottom extending said lip, in order to secure the body upon the ground location and to isolate the floor drain line from a volume of encircling and poured concrete.

  • Publication number: 20040095226
Abstract: A mechanical device engaged to awaken the individual using the pillow. The mechanism includes a timing device that can be set to activate the rollers and track inside of the pillow. The rollers can be set at different sizes and speeds depending on the difficulty of waking up the user. The speed and size may be set to increase in intensity if not deactivated (“turned off”) by user. The track has the dual purpose of guiding the rollers or vibrating to wake the user. The duration (amount of time e.g. 5 minutes) that the rollers and vibrators in the mechanism are active can be adjusted by user. The mechanism will be enclosed in a malleable package (e.g. possibly plastic or rubber) that can be inserted into the pillow (probably by the original equipment manufacturer/OEM), into a pillow case (probably by an end user), or used directly. The “on-off” switch will also be included in the mechanism making the entire wake-up process completely self-contained in a single mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20040025785
Abstract: The invention concerns a machine for simultaneously coating the inner surface of several hollow bodies (1). In order to increase the performance of said machine, the hollow body bearing plate (2) has fixing points (22) disposed next to one another in the form of a matrix and the tube support plate (3) has vertically disposed gas feed tubes corresponding with said fixing points (22). A dividing wall (15) that is also vertically disposed and having correspondingly matching holes placed next to one another in the form of a matrix with a quartz window is fixed on the frame (16) of the machine. The bearing (2) and support plates (3) are provided with a drive mechanism (23) for horizontal movement into the machine and for loading and unloading said machine. The dividing wall (15), the hollow body bearing plate (2), the tube support plate (3) and the functional accessories (10, 11, 23-25) thereof form a first module.

  • Publication number: 20030097986
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for coupling microwave energy into a plasma CVD coating chamber (3) located in a cavity resonator (1). Said arrangement has a microwave supply part (11) and a microwave guide (9, 1). The invention provides that in order to coat the insides of plastic containers of shapes and sizes that differ to a certain extent, the arrangement has an essentially cylindrical construction as follows: a first coaxial waveguide (in area a) is provided with an inner guide at the rear end, said inner guide being configured as an antenna (12). An approximately cylindrical waveguide (in area b) is connected in the middle and a second coaxial waveguide (1) is provided with an inner guide (13) at the front end (in area c). Gas can be introduced into the second coaxial waveguide (in area c) through a gas supply tube (13). Said gas is excited into a plasma state by the microwave energy that is coupled in and a TM mode is generated in the plasma range (1, c) by the antenna (12).

  • Publication number: 20030094711
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for producing a gas mixture consisting of HMDSO and oxygen, whereby process gas is produced. In order to be able to continuously produce a large volume of process gas using such a device and to be able to withdraw the same at practical processable temperatures, the invention provides that a number of filling packages (2) are stacked in an elongated essentially vertical column (1) that can be cooled. In addition, an inlet tube (3), which is inserted into the column (1) from the exterior, and a gas outlet connection (6), which leads to the exterior, are secured in the upper area of said column (1). Devices (26) are also provided for measuring the temperature, the pressure and the amount of the exiting gas mixture. In addition, a distribution cup (29) which spans the cross-section of the column (1) and which is provided with gas flow-through openings (38) is placed underneath the inner discharge end (4) of the inlet tube (3).
