Abstract: A turret mount apparatus that allows for an instrument to be rotatably and removably attached to a vehicle platform, such as an underwater scooter. In an underwater scooter implementation, such an apparatus comprises two primary components: one attached to the scooter, namely, a turret mount base, the other directly or indirectly attachable to the instrument (e.g., camera), namely, a turret mount top, these two complementary components forming a turret and allowing rotational movement in the horizontal plane when mated. The turret mount apparatus allows a diver to attach and detach the turret mount, as well as rotate the instrument to the desired angle, manually without tools.
