  • Patent number: 7147211
Abstract: The hydraulic jack stand is a hydraulic jack with an integral jack stand. The jack stand helps stabilize and support a heavy object being lifted by the jack. The hydraulic jack stand uses multiple parallel safety mechanisms to prevent the jack from lowering unexpectedly while being used as a jack stand. The jack uses hydraulic pressure to raise and lower a lifting post. Pivoting teeth arranged along the lifting post allow the lifting post to be raised while preventing the post from falling due to any failure in the hydraulic cylinder. The jack stand has several legs, which extend out to provide a wide base. The legs have feet with non-slip pads underneath to protect the legs from wear and to help prevent the stand from slipping.

  • Publication number: 20030059728
Abstract: An improved combustion system for reducing NOx in a furnace 10 is provided having a primary flame zone 12. The primary flame zone 12 includes a plurality of burners 14 located therein which are operated on a sub-stoichiometric level thereby producing uncombusted natural gas (or hydrocarbon). The burners 14 also facilitate the passage of the uncombusted natural gas (or hydrocarbon) from the primary flame zone 12 into a secondary flame zone 18 above the primary flame zone. The secondary flame zone 18 is provided with a natural draft port 20, having a predetermined cross-sectional area, formed therein at a predetermined distance above the primary flame zone 12. As a result, air of a predetermined volume is induced into the secondary flame zone 18 so that uncombusted natural gas (or hydrocarbon) in the secondary flame zone is combusted thereby reducing NOx emissions from the furnace 10.

  • Patent number: 6441263
Abstract: A process for preparing an ethylene-rich composition from a C3-5 paraffinic feedstock is described. The C3-5 paraffinic feedstock is subjected to molecular redistribution via dehydrogenation to form olefins, metathesis of the olefins, and rehydrogenation of the olefins to form paraffins. The product stream includes ethane, which is isolated and sent to an ethane or ethane/propane cracker (or, alternatively, a flexi-cracker, although this is less cost effective) to yield an ethylene-rich composition. The product stream also includes C3-5 paraffins, which can be recycled, and C6+paraffins, which can be used, for example, as solvents. Alternatively, they can be isomerized to form gasoline additives, or can be converted to aromatic compounds by subjecting them to reforming conditions, for example using the AROMAX™ process or platforming or rheniforming conditions.
