Abstract: An open-systems classroom information technology automation solution that allows a teacher to control features and content on multiple student workstations (an in-desk Tablet PC) through a wireless network and server solution, including hardware, software and network subsystems. The custom product components include a compact self contained in-desk or in-table Tablet PC with input/output port extender. The custom software utilities and applications allow a teacher console to control access to various components and commercially available applications on the student workstations (an in-desk Tablet PC). Other custom software utilities allow the administrator to easily configure student workstations (an in-desk Tablet PC) making add/change/deletes quick and simple.
