Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure enable a cart to be stabilized. A stabilizing mechanism includes a body having a first body surface and a second body surface. A retaining device is coupled to the body such that the first body surface, the second body surface, and a first device surface define an elongated channel configured to receive a rod member. The first device surface is substantially parallel to the first body surface and substantially perpendicular to the second body surface. A wheel assembly is coupled to the body. The wheel assembly includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and a plurality of wheels rotatable about an axis of rotation to facilitate moving the load between the plurality of locations. A first wheel is coupled to the first end portion, and a second wheel is coupled to the second end portion.
