Abstract: Systems and associated methods are described for providing recording of a blacked out media content item. A system receives a request from a first user device associated with a profile to record a media content item scheduled to broadcast on a second user device (different from the first user device) associated with the profile, at a second location. The system determines that the media content item is subject to a blackout during a blackout period within a blackout region. The system determines that the first user device and the second user device are associated with the same profile and that the first user device is at a first location outside the blackout region. The system then accesses the media content item for recording on the second user device during the blackout period. The system further transmits the recorded media content item to the first user device after expiry of the blackout period.

Abstract: A rainwater harvesting apparatus and system for an emergency shelter includes a platform defining an aperture. A threaded fastener is inserted through the aperture and is rotatable through the aperture. A planar panel assembly is fastened to the platform by the threaded fastener. The planar panel assembly is configured to move on the threaded fastener along a longitudinal axis of the threaded fastener as the threaded fastener is rotated through the aperture in the platform. A canopy is secured to the planar panel assembly, such that a segment of the canopy moves together with the planar panel assembly along the longitudinal axis of the threaded fastener as the planar panel assembly moves on the threaded fastener.

Control circuitry receives a request to store a content item of a series of sequentially ordered content items. The control circuitry determines whether the request is a new request for a user. Upon determining that the request is the new request, the control circuitry stores a predetermined number of content items of the series of sequentially ordered content items in a storage device. If a threshold amount of the predetermined number of content items has not been displayed on a device, then the control circuitry causes the notification to be displayed on the device.

The vehicle rim protector may include a handle to enable the user to hold the domed shield above the rim. Alternatively, the domed shield may include a set of clips to fasten the rim protector directly to the rim.

Abstract: A polyaxial screw device and system for spinal fixation and dynamic stabilization. Embodiments of the present disclosure may utilize hinged connections, cam-style mechanisms, and planar connectors to enable surgeons to attach to an implanted bone fastener or connect to an elongated member from a lateral approach for improved accessibility, with a low-profile configuration for improved patient comfort. Embodiments may be implantable using MIS procedures and techniques.

Abstract: A system and method for managing information from a point-of-sale/usage device includes a remote computer in communication with a computer network, the remote computer having a database for storing information obtained from a point-of-sale/usage device, and a wireless data network in communication with the computer network. The point-of-sale/usage device includes a controller for managing operation of the point-of-sale/usage device and having memory for storing information related to the operation of the point-of-sale/usage device and information related to purchases of a product and/or service, an interface for transferring data from the controller and an Enabler device. The Enabler device includes a wireless data network transceiver linked to the interface, and a card reader in communication with the transceiver for entering credit card account information. The Enabler may also include a micro-controller, depending upon the configuration of the point-of-sale/usage device.
