The chains move the cloth from a position for gripping its front edge to a quilting position, where it is transferred onto the clamps of a carriage which transfers the cloth onto a removal device.

Abstract: The apparatus has a supporting frame defined by four uprights bearing a pair of horizontal parallel beams interconnected by cross members having guides. A gearmotor-driven carriage is movable horizontally along the guides in a first direction. The carriage bears rods extending parallel to the guides. A gearmotor-driven trolley is movable along the rods in a second direction which is orthogonal to the first direction. The trolley rotatably supports a downwardly extending C-shaped frame having a platform supporting a working unit. The frame is rotatable about an axis which is perpendicular to the first direction of movement of the carriage and perpendicular to the second direction of movement of the trolley.

Abstract: The quilting apparatus includes a framework upon which a carriage with sewing head and crochet device is slidingly supported in a first direction. The sewing head and crochet device are slidingly supported in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction on transverse beams of the carriage. The carriage is positionable on a selected one of at least two cloth holding frames carriages with cloth holding clamps, and cloth loading tables, working in synchronization with the sewing carriage to remove and load cloths at the cloth holding frame where quilting is not taking place.

Abstract: The quilting machine comprises a supporting frame with vertical uprights which support, at the top, two horizontal parallel guides. A truck which bears at least one sewing device is slidably suspended on the guides. The truck is composed of two side plates connected to one another by two beams which extend above and respectively below the plane of the cloth-holder frame and act as guide for a sewing head and respectively for a complementary hook device of said at least one sewing device.

Abstract: The quilting machine includes a cloth-holder cylinder supported rotatable about a horizontal axis and provided with means for fastening the cloth along a cylindrical path. Externally to the cloth, along a generatrix of the cylinder, there moves a sewing head the motion whereof is coordinated with that of the cylinder so that the sewing line follows a predetermined trajectory.

Abstract: The automatic apparatus for the manufacture of mattress-sacks includes: a base plane supporting the sack to be manufactured and having a work side, a sewing machine overhanging by said side and adapted to operate along a border of the sack parallel to said side, an auxiliary work plane rotatable on said base plane about a vertical axis, and presser elements rotatably supported about the same vertical axis and adapted to secure on said rotatable plane the border of the sack being sewn so as to allow its rotation for the sewing of a following border perpendicular to the preceding one.

Abstract: The apparatus includes a pair of hoops constituting said cylinder and provided with hooking elements for fastening the lateral edges of the cloth and mutually connected by longitudinal bars provided with hooking elements for fastening the initial and terminal edges of the cloth. The apparatus further includes a framework guided perpendicularly to the cylinder tangent plane and whereon is slideable a cutting assembly below which are arranged means for elastic retention of the initial flap of the cloth, means being furthermore provided to actuate the framework between a lowered position in which the initial and terminal flaps of the cloth couple to the longitudinal bars and the cloth is cut defining the initial and terminal flaps, and a raised position whereat the cloth-holder cylinder rotates.

Abstract: The automatic apparatus for the stapling of covering cloths to mattress springs comprises a base plane, jack-like members for comprising the mattress springs between two apposed covering cloths on said base plane, a carriage slideable laterally to respective sides of the base plane and provided with devices for folding the borders of said cloths on the end coils of the outermost springs, devices for stapling the folded borders of the covering clothes and carried by the slidable carriages and finally motorized equipments for reciprocating the slideable carriages.

Abstract: A quilting machine for quilting mattress, bedspreads, comforters, and the like comprises a carriage on which an article to be quilted is held stretched. The carriage is guided by horizontal rails along which it is moved back-and-forth by a drive unit. Said carriage is overlaid by another carriage which is guided in an orthogonal direction to that of said first-mentioned carriage and carries one or more sewing heads. The latter carriage is driven by a unit which determines, in cooperation with the drive unit of said first-mentioned carriage, the relative movement of the sewing heads and cloth in accordance with a preset pattern for the seam line.
