  • Patent number: 7042990
Abstract: A user produces (301) a vocal and/or video message on an apparatus provided with means for the recording of such a message. This message is packaged (302) in a multimedia configuration message. This configuration message also comprises an identifier of a user. This configuration message is sent (303) to a greeting message server that uses the identifier and the greeting message of the configuration message to update (307) a database of the server.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 2, 2003
Date of Patent: May 9, 2006
    Assignee: Cegetel Groupe
    Inventor: Rodolphe Marsot
  • Patent number: 7010790
Abstract: To measure the performance of a system for the transmission of multimedia messages, a parametrizable module for the generation of multimedia messages is used. The subject field of the multimedia messages produced by the generation module comprises information on the multimedia message. This subject field is retrieved in the notification messages sent by a relay server. These notification messages are filtered by a filtering module. (206). The result of the filtering is given by a module (202) for the retrieval of multimedia messages. The result of the retrievals is compared with the sending operations made by an analysis module (203) to produce statistics on the working of the system.

  • Publication number: 20050270994
Abstract: So as to limit the resources required by the mass broadcasting of multimedia messages, a multimedia content is identified by a service identifier. In the MMS-C server responsible for the broadcasting, this service identifier is associated with a certain number of multimedia messages preformatted as a function of a type of terminal. The requests for retrieval of the content therefore relate to a service identifier and a type of terminal instead of a URL of a message. Thus excessive communications between providers of contents and telephony operators are avoided. The excessive replication of a multimedia message on an MMS-C platform is also avoided.

  • Publication number: 20040125925
Abstract: A conversion server is implemented after a voice messaging server. The conversion server retrieves a voice message, compresses it and inserts it in an MMS type multimedia message. The multimedia message is formatted according to an HTML/XML/SMIL type language. The message thus formatted is then routed, through a multimedia server of a telephony operator, up to an intended recipient terminal where it will be interpreted/consulted. The multimedia server itself may also format the multimedia message according to a user profile, and add advertising type contents for example to the message.
