Abstract: A bundled object variability detection system includes an array of sensors at least partially surrounding a bundle of objects, wherein the sensors comprise lasers adapted to obtain physical dimensional data about the bundle. The system also includes a processor for executing computer-executable instructions and a memory for storing computer executable instructions. When the instructions are executed, the processor implements a first module that receives the physical dimensional data from the sensors, a second module that locates a distinct cross-section of a singular object within the bundle based on the physical dimensional data, a third module that determines a model of the singular object based on the located cross-section of the singular object, and a fourth module that analyzes the model to determine if the individual object embodies one or more distinguishing characteristics.
