Abstract: A presentation interface for rendering Web form content can include a Web form, a repeated item section, and a collection control section. The Web form can be written in a markup language based upon a Standard Generalized Mark-up Language (SGML). The Web form can include a repeating structure that references a collection of data items. The repeated item section can present the data items in a tabular format. The repeated item section can also include multiple selectors, one selector corresponding to each data item. The collection control section can include at least one user selectable collection actuator, such as a button, that performs a function associated with the actuator upon only those designated data items in the collection for which a corresponding selector has been chosen.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and system for notifying a user of a password/passcode change event. In the invention, a computing system can automatically detect a password/passcode change event. At least one user affected by the event can be determined. A pre-existing user defined message can be retrieved from a data store. A password/passcode change message can be automatically conveyed to the affected user. The change message can include content of the pre-existing user defined message. Further, in one embodiment, an automatically generated activity report associated with a password/passcode can be presented to either a user making a password/passcode change or as part of the conveyed change message.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for adjusting an image displayed in a graphical user interface. The method can include a step of identifying an original region that is a visible rectangular region containing a displayed digital image. A user defined aspect ratio can be established using an aspect ration input control. An area of the original region can be changed to create an adjusted region. The adjusted region can automatically have the user defined aspect ratio. An image manipulation operation can be performed on the displayed digital image so that a manipulated version of the image is displayed within the adjusted region. Image manipulation operations can include resizing, clipping, cropping, and applying a special effect to the image.

Abstract: Disclosed herein too is a method for notifying a user of an early event prior to a first time t1 comprising selecting from a first command interface 20 of an implementation screen 10 an event that the user desires notification of; selecting from a second command interface 30 of the implementation screen 10 a first time t1, prior to which the user desires notification of all events that occur before t1; a final time tn, prior to t1, that the user would like to be notified of all those events occurring before t1; and a period t2 in minutes, hours, days or weeks prior to t1 that notification is desired; and specifying from a third command interface 40 of the implementation screen 10, a time T1 in minutes prior to the final time tn, that the user desires notification of corresponding events of interface 20.
