    Abstract: A machine for marking the location for determining the correct prescription of progressive optical lens including a light beam, a table for supporting the progressive lens in the light beam, an optical protractor having visible indicia thereon for contact against the progressive lens to locate the symbols on the lens that indicate the position of the reference line thereon, and a stamp including adjustable stamp pads for contact against the lens in alignment with a reference line, to apply at least one temporary opaque symbol on the progressive lens from which the lens prescription can be determined.
