  • Patent number: 4703255
Abstract: A probe for testing for a corrosive environment in a concrete body by measuring the current and the voltage between two metallic elements of different materials, one of which being of a material similar to that of the reinforcement members to be provided in the concrete body. The two elements are rods arranged with holding means to maintain the elements in a parallel relationship when preparing the concrete in situ.

  • Patent number: 4703254
Abstract: Probe for testing of corrosion, to having a helically arranged resistance element on a rodshaped carrier of electrically insulating material. The carrier is embedding a reinforcing core being used as a conductor to the free end of the resistance element. The resistance element has an exposed half and a half covered by a non-conductor, providing an active part and a reference part to be connected in a bridge circuit for temperature compensated measurements.

  • Patent number: 4703253
Abstract: Probe for monitoring the corrosion of a metallic reinforcement member in a concrete body. Two elements (11,12) of a rodshaped material, preferably in one piece of a material identical to that of the reinforcement member, are joined in a loop. One leg (11) of the loop is acting as an active, corroding element of the probe, while the other leg (12) is covered by a protective sheating (14) of non-corrosive material, the loop being provided to be connected to an electric circuit for measuring the electrical resistance of the legs. In operative condition, the probe is embedded in the concrete body, electrically insulated from the reinforcement member.
