  • Publication number: 20100294537
Abstract: To produce an aluminum wire covered with copper, capable of retaining its original electrical and mechanical properties when used in environments in which the temperatures exceed 150° C., the wire is produced by a method during which a material foreign to copper and to aluminum is introduced in a small amount at the interface between the aluminum core and the copper layer. The material has the effect of retarding the precipitation of copper in the aluminum and the growth of Guinier-Preston zones. The wire is produced by a known method of reducing the diameter of a composite bar and the foreign material is introduced into the interface between the copper and the aluminum during production of the composite bar so as to be present in trace amounts after reduction of the diameter.

  • Patent number: 6829821
Abstract: A unit for automatically crimping ribbons of flexible flat cable has a guide surface on which a ribbon of flat cable travels. A number of crimping stations are arranged vertically offset plumb with the plane of the guide surface and designed to crimp a connector onto an end of a branch of the flat cable. A number of tilting ramps have a first end even with the plane of the guide surface when they are in the tilted state and a second end even with a crimping station. The ramp tilts toward the guide surface on command so that a predetermined branch of the ribbon follows the ramp it encounters in its path as it travels along and so that it is directed to one travels along and so that it is directed to one of the crimping stations where it receives a connector.

  • Patent number: 6215636
Abstract: The device comprises a busbar (1′) connected, on the one hand, to the source of electrical energy and, on the other hand, to a plurality of electrical contacts (3′i) each forming part of one of the circuits. According to the invention, several self-resettable fuses (5′i) for protecting said circuits are soldered to said busbar (1′), these fuses each consisting of a layer of a dispersion of an electrically conductive particulate material in a polymer, said layer being laminated between first and second, plane and parallel, electrodes electrically connected to the busbar (1′) and to said electrical contacts (3′i) of an associated circuit, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5811810
Abstract: The present invention relates to an infrared sensor (20) of the type comprising a support plate (22) provided with a printed circuit carrying a plurality of elements (23) sensitive to infrared waves and a dome (21) designed to cover said sensitive elements. This sensor is characterized in that: cutouts (27) are made in the support plate (22) around each sensitive element, each of these cutouts delimiting a tongue (28). These tongues are designed to be deployed outside the plane (P) of the support plate and to interact with the dome (21) in such a way that they adopt a defined position with respect to one another. The sensor according to the present invention is more particularly intended to equip automobile courtesy lights and to form part of an antitheft and/or centralized door-locking device.
