  • Patent number: 11090214
Abstract: A leg support assembly for a medical examination device having tracks, a frame and a leg pad. The frame is configured so the leg pad mounted thereto is angled relative to the horizontal in a stowed position within the examination device. Guide members are movable along the tracks to maneuver the leg pad between stowed and deployed positions. The tracks include a horizontal section for forward movement, an incline section enabling elevation, and a detent to retain the leg pad in a deployed position. When deployed, the upper surface of the leg pad is level or co-planar with the seat cushion of the examination device. Greater vertical displacement of the leg pad is achieved than the vertical height of the leg support assembly when stowed.

  • Publication number: 20090152934
Abstract: A truck has a cab, a body, an engine, and an exhaust system. The body carries loads during use and each of its panels has an interior fluidly connected to one another. The exhaust system receives exhaust from the engine which flows thru exhaust pipes into a muffler and then into a diverter box. When desired, the diverter box diverts at least a portion of the exhaust air into an air outlet that directs air to the interiors of the panels to heat the body during use. Any remaining portion of the exhaust air, is exhausted directly to ambient air. A circuit controls the flow of exhaust gases to the truck body utilizing a diverter, an actuator for controlling the diverter, and a temperature sensor for controlling the actuator wherein a flow of exhaust gases to the truck body is shut off when said temperature sensor senses an exhaust gas temperature above a predetermined level. Alternatively, a signal indicating the start of a regeneration cycle of a diesel particulate filter can be used to control the actuator.

  • Patent number: 4622891
Abstract: A sandwich cookie is made of a chocolate-coated bottom biscuit and a plain top biscuit by applying a pair of stripes of molten chocolate to the chocolate-coated surface of the bottom biscuit, placing the biscuits against each other, and cooling the molten chocolate to set it and bond together the top and bottom biscuits to form the desired chocolate sandwich cookie. Apparatus is provided for performing these steps automatically on rapidly-moving trains of top and bottom biscuits. Stepping conveyors and synchronized lugged conveyors move each top biscuit into vertical alignment with a corresponding coated and striped bottom biscuit, whereupon the top biscuit is dropped upon the bottom biscuit and passed beneath a presser spring which urges the top and bottom cookies toward each other prior to cooling of the molten stripes.
