Abstract: Methods for treating a producing wellbore of a subterranean reservoir include obtaining a side stream flow of a produced fluid from a production tube of the wellbore at a location above the surface of the earth; providing an eluting contact of the side stream flow of produced fluid with a treatment material to form a side stream flow of treated produced fluid; and directing the side stream flow of treated produced fluid into the wellbore at a point below the surface of the earth. Apparatuses suitable for carrying out the methods include an elution device fluidly connected to a side stream of produced fluid flowing above the surface of the earth and situated to direct the side stream toward the elution device to provide an eluting contact of the produced fluid with a treatment material disposed in the elution device, then direct the treated produced fluid into the wellbore.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to an apparatus for pumping suspended polymer liquids that reduces the formation of polymeric deposits at the seal contact surfaces and filters out deposits that do form. This allows for an oil drag reducing agent (DRA) to be delivered continuously from topside through an umbilical to subsea produced fluids flowlines to increase oil production and/or flow of gas/oil by reducing friction loss due to turbulent flow in the flowlines.

Abstract: Systems and methods for assessing flowability of a multiphase fluid are provided. The method includes agitating a sample of the multiphase fluid contained in a container while controlling an agitation force applied to the sample; pouring the sample, after it has been agitated, into a viscosity cup having an opening at its upper end and an orifice at its lower end and thereby causing the multiphase fluid to flow out of the viscosity cup through the orifice; weighing an amount of the multiphase fluid that has flowed through the orifice and into a receiving vessel over a period of time; and assessing flowability of the multiphase fluid sample using the weight of the multiphase fluid sample in the receiving vessel as a function of time.
