  • Publication number: 20170232895
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a device and methods that detect the presence of a life form inside of a vehicle and attempts to rescue the life form in the event certain trigger events are detected. More specifically, the present invention utilizes advanced detection algorithms and communication protocols to minimize the instances of false detection alarms, relieving the emergency responder system from unneeded emergency calls. Furthermore, some embodiments of the devices are capable of autonomous responses to these trigger events and in some circumstances are capable of having emergency responders remotely respond to these trigger events.

  • Patent number: 6271024
Abstract: A fast thermal cycler has a temperature chamber divided into a top, hot compartment heated by heating lamps and a bottom cold compartment cooled by liquid nitrogen, for optimizing thermal cycling rates for devices under test, such as solar cells, for rapid thermal life testing where both compartments use pressurized gaseous nitrogen for thermal conduction and regulation and a motor drive repetitively transports a test device mounted on a panel transiting between the two compartments. The thermal cycler is enhanced by computer control, enabling in-situ electrical testing, fail-safe heating, precision temperature heating and cooling phases, operator alerting and thermal gradient control during the temperature cycling.

  • Patent number: 6146515
Abstract: A power supply for producing complex non-periodic waveforms from a sum of periodic waveforms is disclosed. The power supply includes a controller which measures the output signal and compares it to the desired signal in order to produce an error signal. The error signal is fed to the power stage and is used to modify the input signal and produce the desired output. The desired signal is programmed by the user by selecting a plurality of pre-defined stored waveforms, modifying them, and arranging them such that the desired complex non-periodic waveform is created. The user can enter the instructions for modifying and arranging the waveforms via a panel having a keypad and display, or using a computer running software which enables the user to modify the stored waveforms on-screen. Such control is particularly useful in industries in which a very specific complex output signal is desirable, such as in the electrolytic plating industry.
