  • Publication number: 20110153645
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed that facilitate providing and managing location-based interactive campaigns. With respect to facilitating providing location-based interactive campaigns, a geographic location is defined within a virtual fence, and associated with an interactive campaign. Location data identifying a current location of a wireless device is then received and processed to determine whether to include or exclude the wireless device from participating in the interactive campaign based on the current location relative to the defined geographic location. With respect to facilitating the management of location-based interactive campaigns, a configurable campaign profile is stored and configured according to a first configuration. The configurable campaign profile is then reconfigured according to a second configuration in response to receiving an input associated with the configurable campaign profile.

  • Publication number: 20110154291
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media are disclosed that facilitate flow design for multimodal communication applications. Aspects for selecting, generating, and/or arranging application modules are described which include providing a graphical user interface (GUI) and receiving a user input via the GUI. The application modules are interchangeable within an interchangeable sequence of application modules based on the user input. The interchangeable sequence includes a first application module configured to receive data via a first communication channel, and a second application module configured to receive data via a second communication channel disparate from the first communication channel.

  • Patent number: 7595763
Abstract: A wireless device (150) and related method of monitoring or controlling a process includes a housing (200) having a mounting structure (300) for rigidly connecting the wireless device with respect to a solid surface, such as within a processing facility (125). An antenna assembly (250) has a movable connection (e.g., using set screw 310 and channel 425) with the housing (200), wherein the antenna assembly can be moved with respect to the housing (200), and wherein the movable connection maintains a hermetic seal and an explosion-proof flame path of the housing and the antenna assembly. The wireless device (150) can include a transmitter, receiver or a transceiver coupled to the antenna assembly (250), wherein the wireless device (150) is operable to wirelessly transmit using the antenna assembly to a remote receiver or receive information from a remotely located transmitter.

  • Patent number: 5693163
Abstract: A method for producing inflated dunnage on the site of use, comprising providing, in web form, a plurality of preformed plastic bags, each of the bags comprising two plastic sheets in facing relationship and sealed along three edges with one edge remaining open. Air is blown toward each of the open edges in sequence, causing each bag to inflate, and the open edge of each inflated bag is sealed, the bag being empty except for the air. A plurality of sealed inflated bags is separated from the web and placed in a carton to serve as dunnage. The bags have a slip resistant outer surface which causes the bags to interlock in the carton and better protect objects therein from shock.

  • Patent number: 5552003
Abstract: A method for producing inflated dunnage on the site of use, comprising providing, in rolled form, a plurality of preformed plastic bags, each of the bags comprising two plastic sheets in facing relationship and sealed along three edges with one edge remaining open. Air is blown toward each of the open edges in sequence, causing each bag to inflate, and the fourth edge of each inflated bag is sealed, the bag being empty except for the air. At least one sealed inflated bag is separated from the roll and placed in a carton to serve as dunnage. In an alternate embodiment, the stock material is provided in a continuous tubular form, and an air inflation needle is used to puncture a surface of the tube for inflation purposes.

  • Patent number: 4337799
Abstract: A thread protector for the external threads of pipes comprising a thread cap structure that is composed of plastic material and defines internal threads that are adapted to receive the externally threaded pin portion of a pipe. The outer extremity of the thread cap is formed to define a reduced diameter receptacle portion that receives a mating metal cap structure in such a manner that the thread cap and metal cap define a substantially contiguous annular outer surface. The metal cap is formed to define an annular body portion that defines a plurality of spaced apertures that are adapted to receive the plastic material of the thread cap to establish an interlocked relation between the plastic and metal cap structure. The metal cap defines a substantially planar circular end wall flange forming an opening through which an end wall portion of the plastic inner body protrudes.
