  • Patent number: 5910569
Abstract: Iodothyronine polymers having a plurality of recurring units of formula I ##STR1## in which A is iodo and B, C and D are independently H or iodo are described. Polymers in which A and C are iodo and B and D are independently H or iodo and in which substantially all of the recurring units are L-stereoisomers, have utility in treating thyroid hormone deficiencies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1997
Date of Patent: June 8, 1999
    Assignee: Lotus Biochemical Corporation
Inventors: Keith Roger Latham, Vincent Ernest Latham

  • Patent number: 4926582
Abstract: A low pour point crude oil composition is prepared by incorporating in a waxy crude oil an effective pour point depressant amount of an oil soluble ethylene-acryonitrile copolymer or terpolymer. The copolymer or terpolymer is usually added as a solution. In one aspect the invention relates to the pipeline transportation of the low pour crude oil composition.

  • Patent number: 4536541
Abstract: High impact resistant polyamide resins containing an amorphous polyamide and dispersed particles of a toughener containing grafted succinic anhydride groups. The toughener has a particle size of less than about 360 nm, as determined by a small angle X-ray scattering technique. The toughener is present in the resin in the amount of at least 15% by weight.
