Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for wastewater treatment. In some embodiments, a system may include one or more of a pair of electrodes, a first membrane selectively permeable to a first wastewater nutrient, a second membrane selectively permeable to a second wastewater nutrient, and at least one spacing frame comprising a structural element, a gasket, and a flow channel. In some embodiments, the system may further include a septic tank.

Abstract: Methods and materials for modulating low light and/or shade tolerance, and red light specific responses in plants are disclosed. For example, nucleic acids encoding low light and/or SD+EODFR-tolerance polypeptides are disclosed as well as methods for using such nucleic acids to transform plant cells. Also disclosed are plants having increased low light and/or SD+EODFR tolerance. In addition, methods and materials involved in increasing UV-B tolerance in plants and methods and materials involved in modulating biomass levels in plants are provided.

Abstract: A zoom optics structure for implementation in a laser-based rangefinding instrument provides a magnified image of a target. The structure disclosed can also serve to magnify a reticle or other information on an in-sight display in conjunction with the magnified target image. The zoom optics structure disclosed is also amenable to rangefinding instruments incorporating ballistics interfaces and those having image stabilization.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to server arrangement for operating, controlling and managing financial operations. The server arrangement implements a shared ledger for recording and storing financial data (e.g., financial transactions) of accounts that are supported by distinct licensed core banking engines. This may allow the server arrangement to implement the licensed core banking engines to perform financial transactions without the use of a payment processor. The server arrangement implements a virtual marketplace where banking services are rendered available to users. Each banking service may be sold by one of the licensed banks to a banking client entity and the banking client entity may select and bundle the banking services of the licensed banks and offer the bundle for sale to the clients in the virtual marketplace. This may facilitate operation for the banking client entities and management of financial assets for the user.

In one embodiment, the device comprises a container body, hollow rod, and removable cap to provide an assembled consumable beverage arrangement. The disclosure also includes a variety of fittings and removable caps to mate with beverage containers that are useful in both storage and operating positions.

Abstract: A method, a processing device and a computer-readable medium are provided for generating an indicator of the likelihood that an individual will achieve one or more financial life goals. The indicator of the likelihood that the individual will achieve the goal(s) according to the given scenario is calculated, based on a plurality of simulated financial projections. The indicator is displayed on a graphical user interface. Also proposed is a method and a system which generate customized financial products that allow individuals to achieve their respective life goals. The customized financial products are determined such that cash flow projections for the individuals remain positive for their entire lifetime and such that an indicator of the likelihood that the individual will achieve their life goals stays above a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A method for an institution to open an account for a user is provided. The method notably comprises receiving a request from the user to open the account with the institution. The user is asked, via a digital channel, for a payment from a digital wallet of the user. The identification of the user is performed at least in part by receiving information about the user from the digital wallet of the user and using an identification method that is associated with the digital wallet. The authentication of the user is performed by comparing at least two sets of information, one received from the digital wallet and one inputted by the user. The account with the institution is then opened and a payment request is made from the digital wallet to an issuing bank of the user.

The access control techniques provide access control at the row level in a relational database table. The database table contains a security label column within which is recorded a security label that is defined within a hierarchical security scheme. A user's security label is encoded with security information concerning the user. When a user requests access to a row, a security mechanism compares the user's security information with the security information in the row. If the user's security dominates the row's security, the user is given access to the row.
