  • Publication number: 20230166560
Abstract: A gate roller assembly includes a bracket that has a vertical portion and a horizontal portion. The vertical portion is positioned against a gate having the horizontal portion extending away from the gate. A plurality of bolts is provided and each of the bolts extends through the vertical portion of the bracket to engage the gate for retaining the bracket on the gate. A plurality of nuts is provided and each of the nuts threadably engages a respective one of the bolts for retaining the first plate on the gate. • Patent number: 6135211
Abstract: A gopher sod cutter and bailer machine. A generally triangular shaped lower center blade has an adjustable depth mechanism to permit the cutting of lower sod to desired depth. On the side of the machine are two spaced disc blades whose spacing may be adjusted that determine the width of cut sod. Mounted on a string table fixed to the machine's main frame is the height adjustment column for the adjustable depth mechanism and several spindles used to supply lengths of string. Guiding pipes supply the string from each spindle to the ground after the sod has been cut and lifted by the center blade and this string wraps around the lifted cut sod to form a sod ball. A rear mounted sod spindle attached to the machine's main frame retains the formed wrapped sod ball until disconnected from its rear side mounted frame extensions for transport.

  • Patent number: 4944056
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for transporting a disabled person in a carrying means. One embodiment of the apparatus includes a dual-track structure for supporting a hoist and trolley which are controlled by the disabled person. In a further embodiment, the structure is designed to be supported by a floor and ceiling together, or by a floor alone, and is adjustable to accommodate rooms of different dimensions. A still further embodiment of the invention includes mechanical and electronic safety means for the hoist which senses a malfunction and provides an appropriate response thereto, such as sounding an alarm and/or lowering the hoist at a specific pre-programmed location and at a controlled descent rate. The embodiments may be used independently or in concert in accordance with the invention. One method of the invention comprises transporting the disabled person utilizing the dual-track structure controlled by the disabled person.

  • Patent number: 4344584
Abstract: Apparatus for winding webs from a large-diameter roll onto cores to form smaller diameter rolls wherein the cores are supported on mandrels mounted at one end on a turret that is indexed between a core loading station, operational stations including at least a web winding station, and a wound-web unloading station. A pair of axially spaced star wheels keyed to a freely rotatable shaft having its axis parallel to the axes of the mandrels sequentially are engaged by, are rotated by, and are disengaged from a mandrel as it is moved between the core loading and winding stations to ensure alignment of the free end of the mandrel for supporting engagement with a provided latching cup operative to engage and steady the mandrel in the operational stations.

  • Patent number: 4265361
Abstract: Apparatus for removing trim from ends of elongate rolls, or logs, of paper cut into several short rolls of uniform lengths. The cut logs are transported longitudinally, in side by side disposition, while the short rolls are individually supported by first support members extending between and engaging confronting sides of the rolls, in combination with second support members opposite the first support members and engaging sides of the rolls opposite the sides engaged by the first members. The trim is not engaged or supported by the first and second members, and is permitted to fall away from the logs as they are transported.
