Patent number: 12268812Abstract: A control system provides automated control of gas washout of a patient interface, such as a mask or nasal prongs. A gas washout vent assembly of the system may include a variable exhaust area such as one defined by overlapping apertures of the assembly or a conduit having a variable gas passage channel. The vent assembly may be formed by nested structures, such as conic or cylindrical members, each having an opening of the overlapping apertures. The vent assembly may be attached substantially near or included with the patient interface. An actuator of the assembly, such as a solenoid or voice coil, manipulates an aperture of the vent assembly. Patent number: 12228539Abstract: A method of analyzing a molecule is disclosed. A voltage source is selectively connected to or disconnected from a capacitor using a switch controlled by a reset signal. A charge is stored in a capacitor when the voltage source is connected to the capacitor. The capacitor is discharged through a nanopore in a membrane when the voltage source is disconnected from the capacitor. A duty cycle of the reset signal is determined such that the voltage source and the capacitor is connected for at least a one tenth portion of a reset signal period and disconnected for a remaining portion of the reset signal period, such that a voltage across the nanopore is maintained at a higher level during the portion of the reset signal period in which the connection is maintained than during the remaining portion of the reset signal period in which the connection is not maintained.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2021Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: Roche Sequencing Solutions, Inc.Inventors: Roger J. Publication number: 20250041659Abstract: A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2024Publication date: February 6, 2025Inventors: Roger BATES, Marko VUJICIC, Gregory Allen WALLACE, Mark William CHILES

Patent number: 12209690Abstract: The present invention relates to a pipe puller having a face plate that can be positioned to avoid a sewer pipe when being used to remove pipe made of lead or other material. The pipe pulling apparatus can be used with a machine such as a mini excavator. The pipe pulling apparatus has a mount that attaches it to the machine. The apparatus further has a frame with a top and a bottom. The top is rotatably and lockably connected to the mount with a pin lock. Two legs can be independently secured to the bottom of the frame. The face plate can be oriented for use with left/right/both legs by rotating and flipping the face plate. Face plate bears against the pit wall. The selected orientation of the plate allows for clearance of the sanitary sewer pipe when the water pipe is being pulled.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2022Date of Patent: January 28, 2025Inventor: David Roger Williams
