  • Patent number: 11440233
Abstract: A blown film coextrusion line includes a support frame, a plurality of extruders each mounted to the support frame and extending upward at an angle, and a downward facing blown film coextrusion die connected to distal ends of each of the plurality of extruders and receiving individual polymer streams from them. The blown film coextrusion line is compact and sturdy and eliminates much of the floor space and towered mounting structure that was required for conventional blown film coextrusion lines. A corresponding method of making a multilayer coextruded blown film is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9273902
Abstract: A curing oven includes a set of pivoting, rotating trays within a curing chamber. The trays are attached to a mechanism that rotates the trays through a curing cycle, and the speed and timing of the rotation may be set by an operator, as desired. In a preferred embodiment, the oven includes a plurality of heating elements, a commercial dehumidifier, a recirculating fan and system, temperature and humidity sensors, and a series of pivoting trays attached to a motorized rotational assembly. The oven is controlled by a various controllers, which may be programmed to set the temperature, humidity levels, rotation speed and cycle time, and other aspects of oven operation. A loading and unloading chamber is effectively sealed off from the curing chamber within the oven, preventing or reducing a transfer of air between the curing chamber and the ambient air outside of the oven.

  • Patent number: 9207723
Abstract: A cable box docking station rack includes a frame carrying a series of shelves, and each shelf including a series of docking stations for connection with cable boxes. Each docking station includes a fixed back plate and a slide plate in sliding relation. The back plate includes a series of connectors that correspond with communications ports on the rear portion of a cable box, and after the cable box is placed into the sliding plate, it slides inwardly until the connectors engage the communication and power ports on the cable box. The rack houses a computer system, video monitors, and data entry tools, together with the docking stations, which is used for inspection and diagnostic analysis of cable boxes.

  • Patent number: 9132452
Abstract: A mining classifier assembly includes a round main body member with a flat bottom portion, preferably adapted to be received into the top portion of a round bucket or similar container, including a series of holes in the bottom portion thereof. The main body member may be placed into the top of a bucket that contains water. A load of dirt, containing rocks, minerals, gemstones, and the like, may be loaded into the main body member so that the water at least partially covers the load, and an operator may agitate the particulate within the water, so that the particulate small enough to fall through the holes in the main body member may fall through, while the larger particulate remains within the main body member. Additionally, a series of trays having a mesh bottom may be inserted into the main body member, to catch and separate smaller particulate.

  • Publication number: 20150086261
Abstract: A miter coupling is provided, together with a method for using the miter coupling to join a pair of square metal tubes at a desired angle using a welding process. The miter coupling, in a preferred embodiment, comprises a single piece of metal formed into a shape that is adapted to receive the ends of two square metal tubes at a desired angle. The miter coupling is shaped to form a pair of parallel elbow members, where the elbow members are formed into a desired angle, and the elbow members are interconnected by a cross support. This arrangement provides a stronger joint, and eliminates the time consuming steps of cutting the square metal tubes at specific angles and grinding the welds to form a smooth seam.

  • Patent number: 8626336
Abstract: An automated destacking device is used to remove a single flat item or sheet from the top of a stack, and to then transport the item from the stack so that it may be used in an assembly line, manufacturing process, or the like. The stacked items are placed into a hopper, and an elevator drives the hopper upwardly until the top item in the stack contacts the underside of a horizontally movable carriage. The underside of the carriage includes an adhesive element, which engages the top item, and then the carriage moves in a horizontal direction away from the stack, carrying the top item from the stack to a position separately from the stack.

  • Patent number: 8186273
Abstract: Ammunition having an integrally formed, polymeric casing is provided. Plastic casings for ammunition may be made using injection molding processes for combat ammunition, target ammunition and blanks. The casings, in one embodiment, include a hollow tubular member with an open end and a closed end having an aperture for a primer cap. The base of the casing includes a conical shape within the tube that narrows toward the base. An annular groove and an annular rim are disposed about an outer periphery of the base. Plastic casings may be utilized for ammunition cartridges used in pistols, rifles and shotguns, and are lighter and less expensive to manufacture than traditional brass casings. Further, the polymeric casings may include any desired colorants to distinguish different calibers of ammunition by color, and the spent casings may be recyclable.

  • Publication number: 20120085738
Abstract: An injection molded laser cutting nozzle tip made from an electrically conductive polymer is provided. The laser cutting nozzle tip includes sacrificial engineering elements in order to provide structural failure of the inexpensive nozzle while preserving intact other more costly components of the laser, in the event the nozzle tip inadvertently comes into forcible contact with a work piece. Suitable electrically conductive polymers include, but are not limited to, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyaniline, polythiophene, polypyrrole, and polyacetylene.
