  • Publication number: 20240071010
Abstract: Training sets of images used for training machine vision systems for object recognition may be augmented via various training set augmentation methods. The machine vision systems trained via the augmented training sets may be further used in an augmented reality procedural guidance system for guiding an operator to complete one or more steps with respect to one or more objects. The training set augmentations may include one or more of an object motion augmentation, a camera motion augmentation, an object herding or clumping augmentation, an object size reduction augmentation, a diversified background augmentation, and a diversified background augmentation with synthetic background images. In some instances, machine vision systems may also be alternatively or concurrently trained to use optically distinguishable markers to recognize objects.

  • Publication number: 20230392717
Abstract: A system for and a method of preventing a conduit, pipe, or other similar traversing piece of equipment, from falling through an opening, and for facilitating ready adjustment of the traversing piece of equipment during installation, maintenance, and/or repair services. A first embodiment may involve a single-component system or a multi-component system. A second embodiment may involve a multi-component system for and method of effectively increasing the diameter of a conduit or pipe to an amount greater than that of an opening, but in a way such that the conduit or pipe can be adjustably extended without need for disengaging the system or back-tracking/reversing the method. A third embodiment may involve an annular riser ring and method of use thereof, wherein the riser ring is configured to slide over a conduit or pipe and is held in place along the pipe or conduit by a tight but slidable friction fit.

  • Publication number: 20230377283
Abstract: An augmented reality system includes a knowledge base and an ontology. The knowledgebase includes properties of objects, substances, and materials found in work environments, and the ontology includes settings for permitted entities, objects and materials, and properties and relations including dependency relationships among them, such that the ontology encodes procedures carried out in the work environment in a computable format.

  • Patent number: 11756272
Abstract: A method of operating a procedural training user interface system involves displaying an interactive guided process of a first user using at least one augmented reality (AR) layer through an AR device worn by a second user, where a representation of first user hands is displayed. The second user interactions may be detected during the interactive guided process, where the second user attempts to superimpose second user hands on the representation of the first user hands in the at least one AR layer. The interactive guided process of the second user may then be displayed using the AR layer through an AR device on the first user and the AR device on the second user. If the first user hands and the second user hands are not superimposed in the AR layer, the first user or the second user may be notified to take corrective action.

  • Patent number: 10673795
Abstract: Systems and arrangements are provided for filtering language. As presently preferred, these are configured to filter inappropriate language, symbols, words, etc on web sites or used in chat rooms. Embodiments create one or more arrays of inappropriate character strings representing, for example, obscene words and character combinations. Embodiments identify the inappropriate character strings, for example in chat text, and edit them to an appropriate form, for example with cartoon characters, and/or delete the inappropriate character strings. Preferably, at least one embodiment applies the content filter via executing a program of instructions, stored on a tangible storage medium, to achieve this functionality.

  • Patent number: 7934185
Abstract: A method of modeling a design in a high level modeling system that supports unidirectional data flow, may comprise identifying a bus-block to represent a connectivity of a bi-directional bus in an system. The bus-block may be represented in serial relationship with the bus. Taps may interface the bus via the bus-block. During simulation, the bus-block emulates behavior of a tri-state buffer in series with an input line for the tap interface. During synthesis, pairs of unidirectional input and output lines of opposite data-routing orientation, which may emulate bus ports to the bus-block, may be collapsed to a single bus port. The synthesis may further generate a netlist that may dispose a tri-state buffer between a tap input and the bus. The netlist may also represent layout of the tri-state buffer for driving an output of the tap.
