  • Publication number: 20070141291
Abstract: The present invention is a pressure sensitive intermediate assembly that can be produced in a number of continuous configurations that may be used by small business owners, non-profits and other similarly situated groups. The intermediate assembly has a series of individual printed portions on the substrate of each roll or rolls. Each of the printed portions are covered with a removable opaque coating and the printed portions may be imaged with motivational, promotional, sweepstakes and similar messages. The recipient of the roll or package containing several rolls may separate individual label portions and create distinct business communications at a location that is separate from the manufacturing site. The assembly of the present invention allows small office and business owners to create communication products which were previously unavailable except in large quantities.

  • Publication number: 20070108757
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a business communication intermediate that uses a pre-determined pattern of taggant ink dispersed in a pressure sensitive adhesive that is applied to a carrier web or substrate. The adhesive has a printed layer that is applied over the adhesive in a manner that does not obscure detection of the underlying taggant ink. The intermediate may then be used in the manufacture of a number of business communication products so as to provide a security feature that may be made integrally with the communication products. The business communication assembly may be provided in an intermediate format, such as in a continuous web configuration that may be reduced to individual intermediate portions.

  • Publication number: 20070029789
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a substantially planar business communication assembly that has one or more ablated recesses or depressions which are created through the use of electromagnetic radiation. The assembly preferably includes first and second portions that are joined to one another to form a composite construction. The business form is typically provided with an ablated depression in one of the two portions. The depression has a depth that is sufficient such that when a removable element is placed within the depression the surface of the removable element is substantially planar with the surface of at least one of the surfaces of the portions used to make up the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070007356
Abstract: The present invention relates to a discontinuous business form construction created preferably from differential substrates that have been provided with one or more removable elements such as cards, labels, tags and differential substrates. The form construction is desirably a composite form having at least first and second discrete portions or segments one of which carries one or more removable elements and the other of which provides an information carrying portion. The form construction of the present invention is produced in such a manner so that when a series of the forms are placed into a stack, such as in a tray that supplies forms to a printing station or a laser printer, there is no significant pad lean. That is, the stack of forms retains a relatively square, rectangular or cube shaped as opposed to one having a sloped configuration, a high end and a low end, due to differential thicknesses between the two portions of the construction.

  • Publication number: 20050252954
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sealable business form construction that is suitable for the transmission of business communications that includes at least one removable field emitting insert. The form intermediate contains one or more separable inserts having a series of active poles that emit fields and which are provided in a self mailer configuration such as a pressure sealable mailer or direct mail communication. The self mailer of the present invention may be provided in a C or Z folded configuration and has as an exemplary insert, a magnetic material that may be provided integrally with the business form construction. The magnetic material will have a size that is generally less than one of the panels of the sealable mailer.

  • Patent number: 6948742
Abstract: A promotional form is provided which includes a detachable element received within the surrounding margin of a base sheet, the base sheet being folded and sealed around one side of the detachable element to initially conceal a message, question or other indicia hidden until the detachable element is at least partially removed. The promotional form may include a plurality of detachable elements having correlated indicia printed on an exposed side and either on the concealed side of the element or in a portion of the opposing form section in registry with the detachable element. A game or educational piece may be inexpensively provided by correlating different indicia messages corresponding to respective detachable elements, so that in response to an initial query or instruction, a plurality of possible results may be revealed, leading in turn to an outcome revealed by removal of a further detachable element.
